The global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has led to the rapid development of vaccines against this disease. Despite success international vaccination program, adverse events following vaccination, and mechanisms behind them, remain poorly understood. Here we present four cases death receipt a second dose COVID-19 vaccine, with no obvious cause identified at autopsy. Using RNA sequencing, genes that were differentially expressed between our post-vaccination control group died...

The decision between survival and death in cells exposed to TNF relies on a highly regulated equilibrium proapoptotic antiapoptotic factors. TNF-activated response depends several transcription factors, including NF-κB its RelA/p65 subunit, that are activated through phosphorylation-mediated degradation of IκB inhibitors, process controlled by the kinase complex. Genetic studies mice have identified kinase-related TANK-binding 1 (TBK1; also called NAK or T2K) as an additional regulatory...

Abstract Proper deposition and activation of Aurora B at the centromere is critical for faithful chromosome segregation in mammals. However, mechanistic basis abrupt kinase has not yet been fully understood. We demonstrate here that B-mediated phosphorylation histone H2AX serine 121 (H2AX-pS121) promotes autophosphorylation essential proper segregation. H2AX-pS121 specifically detected during mitosis. depletion results a severe defect this locus. A phosphomimic mutant S121 interacts with...

We report on site-selective growth of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) from a Co nanoparticle catalyst patterned by an ink-jet printing (IJP) technique. The dispersion the nanoparticles was employed as “catalyst ink” for IJP, and pattern subjected to chemical vapor deposition acetylene gas. array MWNTs obtained with dot size around 5–30 μm showed field emission electrons corresponding printed pattern. present method offers simple powerful means at desired positions any patterns.

Abstract Cancer cells often develop drug resistance. In cisplatin-resistant HeLa cisR cells, fibroblast growth factor 13 (FGF13/FHF2) gene and protein expression was strongly upregulated intracellular platinum concentrations were kept low. When the FGF13 suppressed, both cells' resistance to drugs their ability keep low abolished. Overexpression of in parent led greater cisplatin reductions concentration. These also showed increased copper. preoperative cervical cancer biopsy samples from...

We present a dual porosity CNT material with seamless connection between highly porous aligned nanotubes and lowly closely packed by using capillary action of liquids. Various approaches were developed to fabricate diverse structures toothpicks, liquid thin films, bubbles, vapors, superink jet printing. The showed low wear was useful as sliding electrical contact.
