Galactosaemia is a disorder of galactose metabolism in which raised levels and galactose-1-phosphate damage various organs. Although galactosaemia common metabolic liver disease childhood, it rare cause neonatal hyperbilirubinemia requiring intervention. We report an unusual case that at presentation had features acute bilirubin encephalopathy exchange transfusion discharge chronic encephalopathy.
