As of January 2021, over 88 million people have been infected with COVID-19. Almost two died severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). A high SOFA score and a D-Dimer >1 µg/mL identifies patients risk mortality. High lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels on admission are associated severity Different degrees alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and/or aspartate (AST) abnormalities reported in these patients, its association mortality remains controversial. The aim this study was...
Abstract Patients with pre‐existing liver diseases are considered to have an increased risk of morbidity and mortality from any type infection, including viruses. The aim this work was explore the implications metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty disease (MAFLD) nonalcoholic (NAFLD) definitions in coronavirus 2019 (COVID‐19) study interaction between advanced fibrosis (AF) each these death intubation patients hospitalized COVID‐19. We performed a retrospective 359 confirmed COVID‐19...
Abstract Traditionally the diagnosis of Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is binary (present/absent). The goal this work to propose a sex-specific continuous score measure severity MetS in Mexican adults using waist circumference and body mass index as adiposity measures. MetSx-WC MetSx-BMI indexes by sex were derived confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) data for 6567 adult participants National Health Nutrition Survey 2018. overall fit two proposed CFA models was excellent. We then validated these...
COVID-19, caused by the betacoronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has overwhelmed world's health systems. To describe epidemiological characteristics of patients treated in a tertiary care hospital.A retrospective cohort study diagnosed with or suspected having COVID-19 from March 23 to July 31, 2020 was conducted.4,401 were hospitalized at Central Military Hospital, out which 35 % beneficiaries, 26 civilians, 28 active military personnel, and only 11 %, retired personnel. Male gender predominated, both...
Evidence from across the world suggests that pediatric population shows different clinical manifestations and has a lower risk of severe presentation SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to adults. However, Mexico one highest mortality rates in due infection. Therefore, our objective was explore epidemiological characteristics associated with positive confirmatory test Mexican admitted tertiary care hospital City.
Autografts are useful but unfortunately limited in big dural defects, such cases, synthetic implants have been recommended. Extensive evidence the literature suggests that sometimes had high rates of complications like infections. This paper aims to present a novel dura matter graft based on capsule granulation tissue harvested from subcutaneous space as substitute and its histological findings.Wistar rats between 240 430 grams both genders were included. First stage procedure introducing...

Summary: Free-flap monitoring is challenging to perform in some centers. It requires the availability of trained health care personnel for 24 hours a day and seven days week. Many methods had been proposed flap monitoring, none them are superior clinical evaluation. This study aimed present murine model evaluate accuracy (sensitivity, specificity, positive or negative predictive values) device. Wistar rats weighing 240–490 g were included intervention data collection. A left inferior...
Background and aim: Recent studies on SARS-CoV-2 have shown that the incidence of liver injury varies between 14.8% 53%, mainly demonstrable by abnormal ALT / AST levels accompanied slightly elevated bilirubin levels. Reports autopsies around word patients death from COVID-19 shows severe damage ranging 58.06% to 78% cases. There is evidence elevation transaminases (ALT AST) translates into a more serious clinical profile. Besides, related with high risk mortality, so it must be monitored...
To optimize hospital management of COVID-19 patients it is important to have parameters that allow us identify patient with an increased risk death. Although hypoalbuminemia has been related severity in COVID-19, there no agreement the albumin cutoff points a potential clinical use. Additionally, measure strength association between levels and mortality not reported. Therefore, aim this study evaluate if Child Pug categories are associated obtain association. Patients admitted...
Introduction: The baseline period after adaptation of the patient is relatively little described about its technique, mentioning that “this capture must have a minimum duration 30 seconds to enable identification anatomical landmarks and pressure profile at rest. Being unfamiliar with sensation nasopharyngeal foreign body, provides limited cooperation, this predisposes more inaccurate measurements beginning high-resolution manometry study. By adapting better following indications cooperating...
