A new ideal zircon microanalytical reference material (Tanz) is presented for in situ U–Pb, O and Zr isotope measurements.
The volatile and semi-volatile compounds of Chinese rice wines were extracted by headspace solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME) analyzed gas chromatography-mass spectrum (GC-MS). original wine samples diluted with deionized water to a final concentration 6% (v/v) ethanol then HS-SPME. pre-equilibrated at 50°C for 15 min stirring the same temperature 45 prior injection into GC-MS. A total 97 identified from ten typical samples, including 13 alcohols, 8 acids, 28 esters, 4 aldehydes ketones,...
Combining high-efficiency cones with the addition of nitrogen in laser ablation MC-ICP-MS not only enhances sensitivity and mass bias stability, but also suppresses non-linear fractionation for Nd isotope analyses.
The U-Pb geochronologic analysis of accessory minerals has played an important role in Earth and solar system science constraining the ages a wide variety rocks minerals. Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) is one most popular techniques for analysis. Currently, significant matrix effects observed between different lack high-quality standards many interest are major limitations its geochronological applications. In this study, we investigated addition...
A combination of ultra-fine sulfide powders and a PAS technique to synthesize pyrite chalcopyrite reference materials for in situ iron sulfur isotope analysis.
Similar signal intensities can be obtained using Ar instead of He as the carrier gas under high-velocity on ablation site or wet plasma conditions in 193 nm ArF excimer LA-ICP-MS analysis.
The U–Pb age of wolframite can be accurately and precisely determined using zircon as an external standard with a water vapor-assisted ns-LA-ICP-MS method.
A homogeneous olivine reference material has been developed via a novel synthesis approach combining ultrafine powder preparation and solid-phase sintering, showing potential for in situ Fe Mg isotopic analyses using LA-MC-ICP-MS.
Mass-dependent titanium (Ti) isotopic variations in Ti-rich minerals as geological tracers are commonly measured by laser ablation (LA) coupled to multi-collector inductively plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS). A high-precision method...
A new gem‐quality zircon reference material, S513, was developed for in situ microbeam U‐Th‐Pb, (U‐Th)/He geochronology and Hf‐O isotope measurement. The well‐cut weighed 51.3 carats. Its U, Th, Pb Hf mass fractions were 924 ± 64.6 μg g −1 (2 s ), 89.6 3.92 119 5.20 ) 8259 244 respectively. Imaging results from LA‐ICP‐ToF‐MS analysis showed homogeneous distribution of elements S513. Th‐corrected weighted mean 206 Pb/ 238 207 235 U ratios S513 eight ID‐TIMS analyses are 0.090955 0.000019 ,...
The Chang’e-6 (CE-6) mission returned the first-ever soil samples from a farside mare basalt unit within Apollo basin, largest impact feature of South Pole–Aitken (SPA) basin. Here, we integrated petrological and geochemical analyses on this its main components to estimate compositions local nonmare components. landing site is typical low-Ti with low Mg# (30–31) contents Th (1 ppm) other incompatible elements. bulk overall shows homogeneous major trace elemental compositions, which are very...
Water-related interferences and matrix effects in ICP-MS are dramatically reduced by using laser ablation solution sampling.
This study presented a new natural zircon reference material for microbeam U–Pb geochronology and Hf–O isotopic analysis.
In this study, we report both 143 Nd/ 144 Nd and 147 Sm/ values in twelve minerals (apatite, titanite, monazite eudialyte) based on analyses over 4 years using LA ‐ MC ICP MS . The positive correlation between the measured β Sm ( r 2 = 0.9981) time our laboratory demonstrates excellent long‐term stability of method. Compared with normal method, signal intensities were improved by a factor 2.9 use X skimmer Jet sample cones combination addition nitrogen at 3–6 ml min −1 to central gas flow....
Similar to the U‐Pb system, 232 Th‐ 208 Pb decay scheme is also widely utilised in geochronology of Th‐rich accessory minerals. The matrix‐dependent systemic deviations observed between different minerals and paucity well‐characterised reference materials for some interest (e.g., xenotime allanite) are major obstacles yield accurate precise Th‐Pb ages with laser ablation‐inductively coupled plasma‐mass spectrometry (LA‐ICP‐MS). In this study, we investigated effects addition nitrogen, oxygen...
