Abstract Limited advancements in managing malignant brain tumors have resulted poor prognoses for glioblastoma (GBM) patients. Standard treatment involves surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, which lack specificity damage healthy tissue. Boron-containing compounds, such as boric acid (BA), exhibit diverse biological effects, including anticancer properties. This study aimed to examine whether boron supplementation, BA, can inhibit growth a xenograft animal model. Using MRI-based tumor...
Objective: There is limited and contradictory information about pulmonary perfusion changes detected with dual energy computed tomography (DECT) in COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this study was to define lung cases DECT, as well reveal any possible links between laboratory findings. Methods: Patients who had a positive RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 contrast-enhanced chest DECT examination were included the study. pattern severity deficits evaluated, relationships deficit results CT ratings. paired...
Computerized tomography (CT) has been increasingly utilized in the differential diagnosis of acute chest pain. Combining triple rule out CT angiography (TRO-CT) approach with dual-energy (DECT) can enhance diagnostic capability by identifying myocardial perfusion deficiencies. This combination yield a quadruple-rule-out computed (QRO-CT) technique. The aim this study is to determine efficacy QRO-CT.Intraluminal diseases and abnormalities main coronary arteries branches were investigated....
Sinonasal teratoid carcinosarcoma or teratocarcinoma is an extremely rare aggressive tumour. It usually arises in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. In this study, authors described magnetic resonance imaging computed tomography findings from a patient with sinonasal teratocarcinoma. Computed of can mimic fungal infections. Magnetic very useful tool for making differential diagnosis between sinusitis.
Alveolar echinococcosis is a life-threatening zoonotic disease caused by Echinococcus multilocularis. The usually primarily involves the liver and shows tumor-like growth. Early diagnosis of alveolar difficult because asymptomatic in early stages. Untreated cases are fatal result death within 10 years involvement. In echinococcosis, patient's medical history, radiological imaging findings, serological histopathological tests used together. Radiological methods very important for differential...
No study on dual energy computed tomography (DECT) has been found in the literature to evaluate possibly fatal cardiac/myocardial problems corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Myocardial perfusion deficits can be COVID-19 patients even without any significant coronary artery occlusion, and these shown via DECT with a perfect interrater agreement. To assess lung alterations To our knowledge, no using performed cardiac/ myocardial The purpose of this is role detection COVID-19-related...
Objective: Although meningococcal infections are most feared infectious diseases due to their high mortality and the possibility of leading epidemics, there is no common practice for vaccination yet.In this study, we aimed determine level knowledge about infection vaccination, attitude towards among pediatricians. Material Methods:Participants were administered a 41-question survey, investigating demographic properties, on infection-vaccination attitudes vaccination. Results:The study...
The aim of this study is to present novel diagnostic ultrasonography (USG)-based classification inflammatory granulomatous mastitis (IGM) and assess compare dosage responses locoregional steroid therapy.
Abstract The os intermetatarseum is a rare accessory bone of the foot. It commonly asymptomatic, as are other such bones Nevertheless, when it becomes symptomatic, can cause “os syndrome.” Reported here case syndrome, which extremely rarely seen. To best authors’ knowledge, there very few cases syndrome in literature.
Introduction and aim. Computed tomography severity index (CTSI) Balthazar score are among the most frequently used scorings in determination of severe acute pancreatitis. The primary purpose this study is evaluation effects biochemical parameters, CTSI on mortality At same time, correlations with were evaluated patients AP. Material methods. In study, amylase, lipase, CRP, procalcitonin values diagnosed pancreatitis retrospectively recorded. Contrast-enhanced computed (CECT) images...
Abstract Cerebral cavernous malformations are common vascular malformation of the central nervous system. It may cause various symptoms, such as seizures, intracranial hemorrhage, but most asymptomatic and diagnosed incidentally. The authors present a case 75-year-old man who has complaint about headache. On radiological imaging, we descripted that patient calcified cavernoma meningioma synchronously. Cavernoma with calcification associated developmental venous anomaly is rare condition.
Abstract Os odontoideum is a rare anomaly of the second cervical vertebra. The odontoid process separated by wide gap from vertebral body in this anomaly. It can be associated with atlantoaxial instability.
