The cationic polymerization of 1,3-pentadiene using AlCl3/SbCl3 binary catalyst mainly carried out at various SbCl3 concentrations.With an increase in the concentration, molecular weight decreased and mass distribution polymer widened, that is consistent with β-pinene.It shown degree unsaturation poly(1,3-pentadiene) are almost independent concentrations.
