This article integrates the SVAR model and nonlinear ARDL (NARDL) to analyze long-run short-run asymmetric effect of structural oil price shocks on Chinese stock market. We reveal that demand-side have a significant impact market in both short long run, but supply shock is an exception. In terms nature, there no evidence when it refers oil-specific demand market, only aggregate has run.

Protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs) plays critical roles in cancer. PRMT5 has been implicated several types of tumors. However, the role cancer development remains to be fully elucidated. Here, we provide evidence that is overexpressed colorectal (CRC) cells and patient-derived primary tumors, correlated with increased cell growth decreased overall patient survival. Arginine methyltransferase inhibitor 1 (AMI-1)strongly inhibited tumor growth, ratio Bax/Bcl-2, induced apoptosis mouse...
Although previous studies suggest that amino acids (AAs) and microbiota-related metabolites (MRMs) are associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), the results remain unclear among normoglycemic populations. We test 28 serum AAs 22 MRMs in 3,414 subjects incident matched controls from China Cardiometabolic Disease Cancer Cohort (4C) Study. In fully adjusted logistic regression models, per SD increment of branched-chain AAs, aromatic asparagine, alanine, glutamic acid, homoserine,...
Objectives Methylglyoxal, a metabolite of the glycolysis pathway, may play an important role in development diabetes and hypertension, but exact mechanism has not been fully elucidated. The present study was designed to investigate whether methylglyoxal could directly induce insulin resistance salt sensitivity Sprague–Dawley rats. Methods Rats were allocated four groups: control (normal drinking water), 1% water, plus N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) (800 mg/kg per day), scavenger, or TM2002 (100...
OBJECTIVE Comprehensive assessment of serum bile acids (BAs) aberrations before diabetes onset remains inconclusive. We examined the association BA profile and coregulation with risk developing type 2 mellitus (T2DM) among normoglycemic Chinese adults. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS tested 23 species in subjects incident (n = 1,707) control matched by propensity score (including age, sex, BMI, fasting glucose) from China Cardiometabolic Disease Cancer Cohort (4C) Study, which was composed...
We aim to investigate the impact of ideal cardiovascular health metrics (ICVHMs) on association between famine exposure and adulthood diabetes risk. This study included 77,925 participants from China Cardiometabolic Disease Cancer Cohort (4C) Study who were born around time Chinese Great Famine free at baseline. They divided into three groups according birth year, including nonexposed (1963-1974), fetal exposed (1959-1962), childhood (1949-1958). Relative risk regression was used examine...
We take a fresh look at the interaction between crude oil prices and investor sentiment from novel perspective of both time frequency domains. By using principal component analysis, we first construct an indicator. Then, are decomposed into three price shocks through SVAR model. Lastly, dynamic relationship is comprehensively studied domains via wavelet coherence analysis. Our results show leading position in co-movement with sentiment. Further, distinguish different effects on times...
Prediabetes and its pathophysiology remain important issues. We aimed to examine the cluster characteristics of prediabetes explore their associations with developing diabetes complications based on 12 variables representing body fat, glycemic measures, pancreatic β cell function, insulin resistance, blood lipids, liver enzymes. A total 55,777 individuals from China Cardiometabolic Disease Cancer Cohort (4C) were classified at baseline into six clusters. During a median 3.1 years follow-up,...
BackgroundMetformin shows beneficial effects on cardiometabolic health in diabetic individuals. However, the general population, especially non-diabetic individuals are unclear. We aim to estimate of perturbation seven metformin targets using Mendelian randomization (MR).MethodsGenetic variants close metformin-targeted genes associated with expression corresponding and glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) level were used proxy therapeutic metformin-related drug targets. Eight phenotypes under trials...
Estrogen receptor α (ERα) is a marker predictive for response of breast cancers to endocrine therapy. About 30% cancers, however, are hormone- independent because lack ERα expression. New strategies needed re-expression and sensitization ER-negative cancer cells selective ER modulators. The present report shows that arsenic trioxide induces reactivated ERα, providing target therapy with antagonists. Exposure leads mRNA functional protein in vitro vivo. Luciferase reporter gene assays...
Cullin-3 (CUL3) mutations (CUL3Δ9) were previously identified in hypertensive patients with pseudohypoaldosteronism type-II (PHAII), but the mechanism causing hypertension and whether this is driven by renal tubular or extratubular mechanisms remains unknown. We report that selective expression of CUL3Δ9 smooth muscle acts interfering function endogenous CUL3, resulting impaired turnover CUL3 substrate RhoA, increased RhoA activity, augmented RhoA/Rho kinase signaling. This caused vascular...
Regulations between NF-κB and HIF-1 have not been adequately addressed in previous research. Here, we report that hypoxia increased hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The protein level was rapidly induced by stabilization (by 2 hours) then moderately decreased, whereas mRNA levels were reciprocally increased. We also found p50 p65 (RelA), but c-Rel, bound the HIF-1a promoter, thus increasing its transcription. In contrast, miR-199a-5p miR-93, c-Rel downstream targets, decreased HIF-1α at both...
Multigene panel testing of breast cancer predisposition genes have been extensively conducted in Europe and America, which is relatively rare Asia however. In this study, we assessed the frequency germline mutations 40 genes, including BRCA1 BRCA2 , among a large cohort Chinese patients with high hereditary risk BC. From 2015 to 2016, consecutive BC from 26 centers China were recruited (n = 937). Clinical information was collected next‐generation sequencing (NGS) performed using blood...
