A new type deflector of a charged particle beam based on pyroelectric crystals is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. The transverse electric field arises in the gap between two vacuum because effect appearing when temperature gradient applied to both crystals. In proof-of-principle experiment, we deflection low-energy electron beam. application deflectors as bending elements undulator for production radiation proposed.
In this letter, we report the observation of fast neutrons generated when a positive acceleration potential is applied to an array orientated carbon nanotubes, which are used as ion source. The with energy 2.45 MeV result D-D fusion reaction. dependencies neutron yield on value and residual pressure deuterium measured. proposed approach planned be for development compact generators.
A multi-wirescanner for diagnostics of ionizing particle beams (e.g. both non-relativistic and ultra-relativistic charged particles; X-ray gamma photons) is proposed discussed in the paper. The scanner based on measurement yield characteristic X-rays generated during interaction with wires made different materials. developed tested beam electrons energy 40 keV . quasimonochromatic continuous background are clearly identified. results measurements transverse size, emittance, position...
Experimental study of electron beam reflection from a single planar surface Plexiglas was made. The distinct guiding effect for the part observed 10 keV electrons within angles incidence 0 to +3 degrees. experiments using Poly plates showed number features process such as dependence on plate quality and material surfaces, divisions into two parts with different behaviour depend tilt angle current value, an elevation in compare initial trace at negative zero plate.
