The fibula free flap became popular in orthopedic oncology for limb-sparing long bone tumor resection. It is particularly suitable intercalary or resection arthrodesis options. In the present series, a surgical reconstruction algorithm was used, enabling each patient to receive personalized technique. During years 1998 2002, 30 patients underwent surgery sarcoma. There were 18 males and 12 females. Their mean age 23 (range, 9 70 years). diagnoses Ewing's sarcoma (11 patients), osteogenic...

Over the past 2 decades, vertical scar reduction mammaplasty techniques have been gaining more acceptance. However, many surgeons are still hesitant to use it routinely because of uncertainty effectiveness in managing lower pole skin excess. We aimed test its efficacy by using objective anthropometric measurements evaluate long-term breast shape and stability. The study population included 40 129 consecutive women with short-scar followed up for at least 1 year. Breasts were measured...

Abstract Introduction Pediatric burn patients face significant risks of fever and complications, impacting morbidity, mortality, healthcare costs. Despite advancements in care, early identification management these remain challenging. This study aimed to develop validate a Machine Learning (ML) based predictive model using Random Forest (RF) algorithms forecast the likelihood related complications hospitalized pediatric patients. Immunosuppression is strongly associated with an increased risk of developing cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). Studies on solid organ transplant recipients (SOTR) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients have already demonstrated higher rates aggressive cSCC tumors in these populations compared to immunocompetent controls. other immunosuppressed patient groups are scarce. This study was aimed at assessing the effects different immunomodulating conditions diagnosed cSCC. We...

Background: Improvements in burn care during the last two decades call for new prediction models of morbidity and mortality. The aim study was to identify parameters that are predictive major factors risk mortality patients with injury. Methods: charts 249 (236 survivors) aged 1 94 years who were treated second- third-degree burns from 1995 2002 reviewed. A multivariate linear stepwise regression model fitted data predict length hospitalization, operations, rate. Results: Survivors' mean...
