In this work, an actual biological tissue is used to investigate how thick the reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) produced by a plasma jet can penetrate through tissue. This one of most critical questions in medicine. The concentration RONS (O3, H2O2, OH, NO2−, NO2− + NO3−) penetrating different thickness measured. It found that (ROS) are significantly consumed For 500 μm, there only about five percent or even less ROS OH) On other hand, more than 80% (NO2− able μm Furthermore,...

In this work, a co-culture system with liver cancer cell line HepG2 and normal L02 is used to investigate the selective effect on cells by plasma activated medium (PAM), which closer real environment where develop. Besides, better model study than widely separate culture systems, are cultured independently. By using system, it found that there an optimum dose of PAM induce significant apoptosis while keeping minimum damage cells.

In this work, reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) generated by a plasma jet penetrating through left in the skin after treatment are measured, effects of stratum corneum (SC) on penetration RONS also investigated. It is found that can penetrate skin, some kinds could be enhanced significantly tape stripping SC layer skin. Further investigations find typical species, including OH, 1O2, O3, H2O2, cannot mice at all (under detection limit) no matter whether present or not, where...

Psoriasis is a chronic hyperproliferative skin disease characterised by excessive growth of keratinocytes. Indeed, inducing keratinocyte apoptosis key mechanism responsible for psoriatic plaques clearance following some important existing therapies, which display pro-oxidant activity. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP), acting as tuneable source reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS), can controllably transfer RONS to the cellular environment, deliver antiproliferative concentrations exert...

Two of the key questions in plasma medicine are how deep reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) generated by a can penetrate into tissue liquid (extracellular intracellular fluid) composition affects concentration RONS. In this paper, different thicknesses pig muscle used as mode to investigate effect thickness on penetration RONS through tissue. Six types (inorganic group: double-distilled water (DDW), 1% phosphate-buffered saline, 0.9% NaCl; organic 5% glucose, 2% serum 10% solution)...

Abstract Fungal infections induced by Candida albicans have increased worldwide due to emerging resistance antifungal agents, which is largely caused biofilm formation. Thus, a new and effective antimicrobial strategy urgently required in treatment of C. biofilm‐associated infections. In this study, the inactivation effects cold plasma for are assessed vitro vivo. studies indicate that suspension inactivated significantly treatment. vivo achieves best effect with an optimal dose (4 min...

Abstract The penetration of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) across the stratum corneum (SC) is a necessary crucial process in many skin‐related plasma medical applications. To gain more insights into this behavior, we combined experimental measurements permeability dry moist SC layers with computer simulations model lipid membranes. We measured permeation relatively stable molecules, which are typically generated by plasma, namely H 2 O , NO 3 − . Furthermore, calculated free...
