Low‐level laser (LLL) irradiation promotes proliferation of muscle satellite cells, angiogenesis and expression growth factors. Satellite factors play important roles in the regeneration muscle. The objective this study was to examine effect LLL on rat gastrocnemius recovering from disuse atrophy. Eight‐week‐old rats were subjected hindlimb suspension for 2 weeks, after which they released recovered. During recovery period, underwent daily (Ga–Al–As laser; 830 nm; 60 mW; total, 180 s) right...

Both joints were fixed full flexion for 1, 2, 4 weeks (immobilization group). Untreated rats bred each immobilization period (control Histological analysis performed evaluate amount density collagen capsule. type I III mRNA examined by situ hybridization. assessed immunohistochemical methods. SummaryThe cardiovascular effects of PGE1, PGA1, and PGFF2α were studied in anesthetized, open chest dogs. It was found that decrease left atrial pressures, increase heart rate, pulmonary arterial pressure, cardiac output, myocontractile force. However, both PGE1 PGA1 are vaso-dilators systemic pressure. The multiple hemodynamic changes induced by the three prostaglandins caused, not only their direct effect on peripheral vasculatures, but also myocardium.

In this study we investigated the molecular mechanism underlying muscle contracture in rats. The rats were divided into immobilization and control groups, soleus muscles of right left sides selected for analyses. The levels CD11b α-SMA protein, IL-1β, TGF-β1 mRNA, type I III collagen protein mRNA significantly greater group than at all time-points. HIF-1α higher 4 weeks. Moreover, HIF-1α, α-SMA, weeks 1 2 group. In early stages immobilization, upregulation IL-1β/TGF-β1 via macrophages may...

<title>Abstract</title> Background Exercise is known to improve physical function, quality of life, and treatment outcomes in patients with cancer. However, the feasibility impact implementing an exercise program from first visit for suspected advanced lung cancer initiation remain unclear. This study aimed evaluate a structured during this period. Methods prospective, single-center included who were instructed perform pre-treatment 4-week consisting slow movement training tonic force...

The sensitivity to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) has been reported be associated with target molecule thymidylate synthase (TS), fluoropyrimidine-metabolising enzymes such as orotate phosphoribosyltransferase (OPRT), and dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD). We performed an immunohistochemical study on the clinical significance of TS, OPRT, DPD expression using 151 resected non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients postoperatively treated a combination tegafur uracil (UFT). ABSTRACT Introduction This study investigated longitudinal changes in muscle extension and collagen expression an immobilized rat soleus muscle, assessed the relationship between both elements. Methods Soleus muscles of control immobilization groups (1, 2, 4, 8, 12 weeks) were used for analysis extensibility expression. Results The slope value/physiological cross‐sectional area (PCSA; a parameter extensibility) hydroxyproline (a expression) significantly higher group than all experimental...

The present cross-sectional study investigated the relationship between frailty and chronic pain, activities of daily living (ADL), physical activity in community-dwelling older adults.Participants were 379 adults who attended community-based exercise classes. Outcome measures as determined by Kihon Checklist, full pain assessment (including sensory, emotional cognitive aspects pain), ADL activity. These outcomes evaluated using validated tests instruments. Assessments carried out before...

Purpose. Patients with hematological malignancies often present reduced muscle and physical functions, which are caused by the disease or related treatment. Moreover, patients rapidly develop low hemoglobin levels, this may affect functions. This study aimed to identify influence of levels on functions in malignancies. Methods. Using a cross-sectional design, included 60 (mean age = 68.0 ± 10.2 years, women 56.7%) who were hospitalized for chemotherapy- radiotherapy-related side effects...

Abstract Background Although researchers have recommended exercise training and psychosocial intervention to manage chronic pain, an effective for Japanese community‐dwelling older adults with pain has not been established. This randomized controlled trial examined whether combined more effectively improves psychological status physical activity than does alone in this population. Methods We 128 either group ( n = 64) involving intervention, or a control only training. Exercise comprised...

This study examined mechanical and thermal hypersensitivity in the rat hind paw during cast immobilization of limbs for 4 or 8 weeks following removal. Blood flow, skin temperature, volume were assessed order to determine peripheral circulation limbs. Sensitization was analyzed by measuring expression calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) spinal dorsal horn immobilization. Two post immobilization, sensitivities increased significantly all rats; however, not affected Cast induced more...
