ABSTRACT Oil palm is one of the most economically valuable oil seed plants, but expansion plantations has been limited by availability seedlings, as conventional propagation through seeds, which have low germination rates. One possible solution for large-scale production use somatic embryogenesis. The aim this study was evaluate effects auxins 2,4-D and picloram on induction pro-embryogenic masses in E.guineenesis hybrid leaf explants characterize, regarding embryogenic characteristics, with...

Eucalyptus stands in the setting of worldwide forestry due to its adaptability, rapid growth, production high-quality and low cost wood pulp fibers. The eucalyptus convetional breeding is impaired mainlly by long life cycle making genetic transformation systems an important tool for this purpose. However, system requires vitro eficient protocols plant induction, regeneration seletion, that allow obtain transgenic plants from transformed cell groups. aim work was evaluate callus formation...

The plant micro-propagation in bioreactor systems is regarded as one way to reduce cost by automation and production scheduling. This research was carried out order obtain an efficient procedure for clone of Eucalyptus camaldulensis on different types including continuous temporary immersion bioreactor. To do so, the apical meristems (1 mm) with adjacent tissue (2,5 were used initial explants. These tissues cultured, 60 days, semisolid culture medium supplemented 1 mg L-1 indole acetic acid...

This work was carried out to characterise morphologically and ultrastructurally the banana callus, obtained from scalp method. Genotypes of banana, cv. Prata anã, cultivated in vitro were used induce meristems at leaf base; subsequently, structures known as scalps formed. For ultrastructural analysis, five samples callus collected, fixed Karnovsky solution analysed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) transmission (TEM). The formation three types observed: Type 1 - transparent watery 2...

The objective of this work was to elucidate the growth curve Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehn. calli analyzing their anatomical modifications. A sigmoid aspect fresh matter observed, with five different phases (lag, exponential, linear, deceleration and decline). In lag phase, highest percentage 87%, which reduced during evaluation period 17% in linear phase. As for analyses, cellular multiplications observed exponential increase cell size promoting volume establishment globular conformation.
