Candida albicans is a commensal microorganism in the human gut but occasionally causes invasive C. infection (ICA), especially immunocompromised individuals. Early initiation of antifungal therapy associated with reduced mortality ICA, rapid diagnosis remains challenge. The ICA-associated changes microbiota can be used as diagnostic and therapeutic targets have been poorly investigated. In this study, we utilized an immunodeficient Rag2γc ( Rag2 -/- il2γc -/-) mouse model to investigate...

Co3O4 was synthesized on carbon paper (CP) using a facile method to improve electrochemical nitrate-to-ammonia conversion efficiency. The resulting Co3O4-CP electrode demonstrated an exceptional Faradaic efficiency of almost 100% across broad range application conditions, with peak NH3 yield 3.43 mmol h−1 cm−2 (2.25 mol gCo−1 h−1).

Cadmium sulfide (CdS) is an attractive semiconductor due to its strong visible light response ability and suitable redox potential, resulting in unique photocatalytic performances. However, the high recombination rate of photoinduced e–/h+ pairs easy photocorrosion pristine CdS severely limit application. In this work, a coating layer graphitic carbon was encapsulated on surface by low-temperature graphitization technique, which nickel element utilized decrease activation energy...

Cultural landscape security is important to national spatial and cultural security. However, compared with the many achievements in study of ecological security, transregional research lacks enough attention match its importance. In context advocacy ‘connecting practices’ between nature culture field international heritage conservation, this paper developed an approach for constructing vernacular patterns identifying key protected areas. A method put forward based on case Yangtze River Delta...

Four simple trans-AB-porphyrins 3a–3d either without any alkoxyl substituent, or with a mono-alkoxyl chain at different (ortho and para) positions of the meso-phenyl ring, two chains ortho ring were designed synthesized via three steps. The synthesis is no expensive metal catalyst involved. All compounds characterized by 1H-NMR mass spectraometry. UV-Vis absorption spectra B band-excited fluorescence emission also obtained. porphyrins applied in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Up to...

The electrochemical reduction of CO2 (ERCO2) into economically valuable chemicals is one the most promising ways to achieve carbon neutrality. Perovskite materials have shown potential applications in high-temperature catalysis and photocatalysis due their unique structure, but catalytic performance during aqueous ERCO2 has rarely been investigated. In this study, we developed an efficient YbBiO3 perovskite catalyst (YBO@800) for conversion formate, with a maximum faradaic efficiency 98.3%...

A nucleus penetrating vehicle is indispensible when seeking to deliver plasmid DNA for gene transfection. In this study, dendrimers with terminal thymine groups were synthesized meet objective. Through modifications of the hydrophilic and neutral moieties on hyperbranched peripheries, these can achieve biosafety, efficient endosomal escape ability, cytosolic accessibility, eventually, nuclear entry purposes After optimization coverages, better expression only be achieved while replacing ∼50%...

In this paper, the formation of rhombic ZnO microrods surrounded by nanorods was realized on surfaces zinc foils using a hydrothermal method. The photocatalytic degradation Rhodamine B solution used to test performance prepared samples. Compared with Zn(OH)F and grown foils, hierarchical micro/nanostructures formed surrounding have better performance. experimental results are mainly due fact that surface larger area compared microrods. More importantly, circulation experiments indicate can...
