To investigate the influence of temperature on nucleation and growth Ti 3 SiC 2 , Ti–Si–C thin films were deposited by magnetron sputtering from elemental targets Ti, Si C Si(100) Al O substrates at <200°C. Subsequently, as annealed in vacuum 800, 950, 1100 1200°C respectively. The consisted amorphous TiC, free C, determined X-ray diffraction photoelectron spectroscopy. A SiC coating for carbon–carbon composites was prepared by the pack cementation method in an argon atmosphere. The influence of silicon content powder on microstructure and antioxidation property coatings were studied. As content's <82·4 wt-%, as obtained possesses a porous structure with β-SiC phase. While is up to 85·7 dense consisting β-SiC, α-SiC Si. thickness increases increase content. Oxidation test shows that improves greatly >82·4 wt-%.
