BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
Convolutional neural networks are a powerful technology for image recognition. This study evaluates convolutional network optimized the detection and quantification of intraparenchymal, epidural/subdural, subarachnoid hemorrhages on noncontrast CT.
MATERIALS METHODS:
was performed in 2 phases. First, training cohort all NCCTs acquired at single institution between January 1, 2017, July 31, used to develop cross-validate custom hybrid 3D/2D mask...

Increased intracellular cAMP and Ca2+ levels can activate transcription of a number eukaryotic genes through common promoter element, the cAMP/Ca2+ response element. This element is binding site for activating factor (ATF)/CREB proteins, an extensive family. Here we report that one member this family, ATF-1, mediate both transcriptional responses, but responses to two pathways differ in magnitude. In contrast, another family member, CREB, has been shown similar levels. Taken together, these...

Recent reports of substantial urinary levels equol in pregnant macaques and humans pose a concern, because poisoning the ovine is characterized by an often permanent failure reproductive processes. Equol (Fig. 1), metabolite phytoestrogens, thought to act through estrogen receptors. The present study made direct comparison estrogenic activity from macaque urine, (±) 17β-estradiol (E2) vitro vivo. Relative binding affinity for rat uterine receptor was 1% that E2, dissociation rate very high....

We present a case of an otherwise healthy 20-month-old with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. CT and MR imaging demonstrated bilateral asymmetrically severe hypoplasia the internal auditory canals vestibulocochlear nerves. Additional developmental inner ear anomalies were in this patient, including unilateral semicircular canal suspected cochlear hypoplasia. The patient retained normal facial nerve function bilaterally. highlight current research understanding IAC abnormalities.
