BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
Convolutional neural networks are a powerful technology for image recognition. This study evaluates convolutional network optimized the detection and quantification of intraparenchymal, epidural/subdural, subarachnoid hemorrhages on noncontrast CT.
MATERIALS METHODS:
was performed in 2 phases. First, training cohort all NCCTs acquired at single institution between January 1, 2017, July 31, used to develop cross-validate custom hybrid 3D/2D mask...

To determine the role for mutations of MECP2 in Rett syndrome, we generated isogenic lines human induced pluripotent stem cells, neural progenitor and neurons from patient fibroblasts with without expression an attempt to recapitulate disease phenotypes vitro. Molecular profiling uncovered neuronal-specific gene changes, including induction a senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) program. Patient-derived made showed signs stress, P53, senescence. The P53 appeared affect dendritic...

Background Point-of-care (POC) MRI is a bedside imaging technology with fewer than five units in clinical use the United States and paucity of scientific studies on applications. Purpose To evaluate operational impacts deploying POC emergency department (ED) intensive care unit (ICU) patient settings for neuroimaging, including turnaround time. Materials Methods In this preliminary retrospective study, all patients ED ICU at single academic medical center who underwent noncontrast brain from...

Purpose Automated large vessel occlusion (LVO) tools allow for prompt identification of positive LVO cases, but little is known about their role in acute stroke triage when implemented a real-world setting. The purpose this study was to evaluate the automated detection tool’s impact on workflow and clinical outcomes. Materials methods Consecutive patients with computed tomography angiography (CTA) presenting suspected ischemic were compared before after implementation an AI tool, RAPID...

Using a large consortium of undergraduate students in an organized program at the University California, Los Angeles (UCLA), we have undertaken functional genomic screen Drosophila eye. In addition to educational value discovery-based learning, this article presents first comprehensive genomewide analysis essential genes involved eye development. The data reveal surprising result that X chromosome has almost twice frequency development as found on autosomes.

Abstract A variety of genetic techniques have been devised to determine cell lineage relationships during tissue development. Some these systems monitor lineages spatially and/or temporally without regard gene expression by the cells, whereas others correlate with under study. The GAL4 Technique for Real-time and Clonal Expression (G-TRACE) system allows rapid, fluorescent protein-based visualization both current past patterns is therefore amenable genome-wide expression-based screens. Here...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
There is active research involving the radiographic appearance of skull base following reconstruction. The purpose this study was to describe vascularized pedicle nasoseptal flap after endoscopic surgery across time.
MATERIALS METHODS:
We performed chart and imaging review all patients with intraoperative placement during at a tertiary academic program between July 2018 March 2021. All underwent immediate delayed (>3 months) postoperative MR...

Background Since ballet dancers begin their training before skeletal maturity, accurate and non-invasive identification of cartilage diseases is clinically important. Angle-dependent analysis T1rho T2 sequences can be useful for quantification the composition cartilage. Purpose To investigate angle-dependent profiles ankle in non-dancers dancers. Material Methods Ten female non-dancers, ten dancers, 9 male were evaluated using mapping sequences. Manual segmentation talar tibial on these...

Abstract A 48-year-old man presented to a tertiary care center with 1.5-year history of sudden-onset choreiform movements in both feet. The were greater the left foot, preceding 1-month cocaine and amphetamine/dextroamphetamine use. His symptoms persisted even after discontinuing use these substances; present while awake absent asleep caused extreme discomfort wearing shoes. Numerous trials medications did not alleviate his symptoms, except for transient improvement risperidone. examination...

We retrospectively studied 1.5T cardiac MR images of 62 patients with various clinical indications. All had a stack EKG gated segmented SSFP cine through the LV. Semi-automated software (Argus) was used to trace LV contours both at multiple slices from base apex as well just 3 (base, mid and apical) by two readers. End diastolic volume (EDV), end systolic (ESV), stroke (SV), ejection fraction (EF) were calculated using assessment methods. Results There no statistically significant...

Transcription factor induced reprogramming of somatic cells to pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, that are molecularly and functionally similar ES can be achieved by the expression Oct4, Sox2, Klf4 cMyc. We study mechanism remarkable changes accompany this process, including resetting cell transcriptome, epigenome and, in female reactivation silent X‐chromosome. In a recent study, we have found Klf4, cMyc cooperate binding activate embryonic housekeeping program, followed specific Sox2 genes...
