Peripheral nerve injury poses a threat to the mobility and sensitivity of nerve, thereby leading permanent function loss due low regenerative capacity mature neurons. To date, most widely clinically applied approach bridging injuries is autologous grafting, which faces challenges such as donor site morbidity, shortages, necessity second surgery. An effective therapeutic strategy urgently needed worldwide overcome current limitations. Herein, magnetic guidance conduit (NGC) based on...

Novel hybrid magnetoactive composite scaffolds based on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), gelatin, and magnetite (Fe3O4) were fabricated by electrospinning. The morphology, structure, phase composition, magnetic properties of studied. Fabrication procedures PHB/gelatin PHB/gelatin/Fe3O4 resulted in the formation both core-shell ribbon-shaped structure fibers. In case submicron-sized Fe3O4 particles observed surface layers X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results allowed presence gelatin fiber...

This study considers a fabrication of magnetoactive scaffolds based on copolymer vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene (P(VDF-TrFE)) 5, 10, 15 wt.% magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles modified with citric (CA) oleic (OA) acids by solution electrospinning. The synthesized Fe3O4-CA Fe3O4-OA are similar in particle size phase composition, but differ zeta potential values magnetic properties. Pure P(VDF-TrFE) as well composites demonstrate beads-free 1 μm fibers. According to scanning electron...

One-dimensional anisotropic nanoparticles are of great research interest across a wide range biomedical applications due to their specific physicochemical and magnetic properties in comparison with isotropic nanoparticles. In this work, the formation iron oxides oxyhydroxide (ANPs) obtained by co-precipitation method presence urea was studied. Reaction pathways oxide ANPs described based on X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron...

Abstract The development of functional magnetoactive materials fabricated in the form electrospun scaffolds is paramount importance for modern medicine and pharmaceuticals. To precisely control morphology magnetic properties composite scaffolds, electrospinning conditions, incorporation method particles into polymer solution to avoid agglomeration, shape/size should be thoroughly studied. In this study, hybrid based on poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐trifluoroethylene) (P(VDF‐TrFE)), doped with...

An integrated study of poly-L-lactide (PL) synthesis and the physicochemical properties film surfaces, both modified by silver carbon ion implantation also unmodified PL has been carried out. Surface modification was done using aMevva-5.Ru metal source with doses 1·1014, 1·1015 1·1016 ion/cm2. Material characterization NMR, IRS, XPS AFM. The molecular weight (MW), micro-hardness, surface resistivity, limiting wetting angle un-implanted implanted samples were measured. results reveal that...

Separation of glyoxylic acid from unpurified multicomponent technological mixtures, resulting in the process direct oxidation glyoxal, and preparation sodium glyoxylate are developed. The mixtures treated with an optimal amount CaCO3, which has to be prespecified by acidic–basic titration mixtures. Both separation take place owing ionic exchange reactions: calcium is easily converted into action oxalic acid. Reaction Na2CO3 leads formation glyoxylate.

For glycolic acid oligomers (GAO): l-lactic (LAO) mixtures, as an example, it was shown that the nature of active sites catalysts significantly affect depolymerization process. So, ZnO, which has mainly basic sites, leads to highest yield cyclic diesters. On contrary, in presence acidic γ-Al2O3 and without a catalyst is characterized by lower diester yields due prevalence side polycondensation reaction. Using GAO:LAO case three studied systems (with γ-Al2O3, catalyst), mixed interactions...
