Vesicular monoamine transporters (VMATs) mediate the transport of dopamine (DA), serotonin (5HT), and other monoamines into secretory vesicles. The regulation mammalian VMAT related vesicular acetylcholine transporter (VAChT) has been proposed to involve membrane trafficking, but mechanisms remain unclear. To facilitate a genetic analysis function regulation, we have cloned Drosophila homolog (dVMAT). We identify two mRNA splice variants (DVMAT-A B) that differ at their C-terminus, domain...

In Arabidopsis thaliana, blocking histidine biosynthesis with a specific inhibitor of imidazoleglycerol-phosphate dehydratase caused increased expression eight genes involved in the aromatic amino acids, histidine, lysine, and purines. A decrease glutamine synthetase was also observed. Addition eliminated gene-regulating effects inhibitor, demonstrating that changes gene resulted from histidine-pathway blockage. These results show plants are capable cross-pathway metabolic regulation.

Recovery is experienced in both positive and negative ways this paper attempts to integrate the 'pains of desistance' approach into a recovery capital framework. Pains as result are often thought stimulate motivations for behavioral change, usually through 'rock bottom' type moment. Whilst barriers have been explored literature, conceptualizing these push pull factors, exploring their dynamic interaction, especially at distinct phases has not. Toward filling gaps, we use life-narratives 30...
