화학분석을 통한 사용후핵연료 연소도 직접 측정법은 많은 비용과 오랜 시간이 필요하지만 측정 방법으로 국내 저장된 사용후핵연료의 연소도를 파악하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하다. 본 연구에서는 핵연료의 연소에 따라 발생한 감마선 방출 핵종의 재고량을 비파괴적 측정하여 산출하는 알고리즘을 개발하고자 핵연료 유형, 농축도, 연소도, 냉각기간을 고려한 연소계산을 수행하였고, 이를 통해 다양한 특성에 따른 주요 재고량 관련 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 연구에서 도출된 연소도와 핵종간의 비는 냉각기간 및 초기농축도에 선형 관계에 있음을 확인하였다. 향후, 개발된 핵종 DB를 기반으로 특성간의 정확한 상관관계를 도출하여 산출 개발할 계획이다.
