Programmed death receptor-1 (PD-1) blockade shows little benefit in patients with microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer (MSS-CRC). Fruquintinib is a China-made anti-angiogenic drug which approved for the third line therapy mCRC. This study investigates effect of combination fruquintinib and PD-1 on MSS-CRC its relative mechanisms. The mouse allograft tumor models that represent MSS microsatellite instability (MSI) CRC were established using murine CT26 MC38 colon cells, respectively, to...

Abstract Multiple primary cancer (MPC) denotes individuals with two or more malignant tumors occurring simultaneously successively. Herein, a total of 11,000 pancancer patients in TCGA database (1993–2013) were divided into MPC non-MPC groups based on their history other tumors. The incidence has risen to 8.5–13.1% since 2000. Elderly individuals, males, early-stage patients, and African Americans Caucasians are identified as independent risk factors (p < 0.0001). Non-MPC exhibit...

Ethanol-induced gastric mucosal injury is a common gastrointestinal disorder. Polysaccharides separated from herbs have been shown to be effective for ethanol-induced injury, but whether the polysaccharides Dendrobium officinale Kimura & Migo leaves (LDOP-1) protected mucosa remains unknown. Thus, present study carried out protection and mechanism of LDOP-1 in vivo vitro. The chemical composition was heteropolysaccharide comprising mannose, galacturonic acid, glucose, galactose, arabinose at...

Abstract Metalloenzymes are attractive research targets in fields of chemistry, biology, and medicine. Given that metalloenzymes can manifest conservation metal-coordination ligand binding modes, the excavation expansion metalloenzyme-specific knowledge is interest bridging metalloenzyme-related fields. Building on our previous metalloenzyme-ligand association database, MeLAD, we have expanded scope services, by forming a versatile platform, termed Metalloenzyme Data Bank Analysis (MeDBA)....

Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) has been recognized as one cause of tumor resistance to immune checkpoint blockade therapy, but the underlying mechanisms still remain elusive. In present study, a bone marrow-derived CAF (BMF) -rich model is successfully established by subcutaneously mixed inoculation BMFs and cells into mice BMF-mixed xenografts are demonstrated be resistant anti-PD-L1 antibody immunotherapy compared mere xenografts. vitro assays via co-culture system indicate that...

Taraxasterol (TAX), one of the active components in Dandelion, demonstrated strong antitumor properties several cancers. However, effect and underlying mechanism TAX non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is unclear. In this study, we showed that inhibited proliferation cells by inducing S-phase cycle arrest prevented migration interfering epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) Lewis (LLC) carcinoma SPC-A1 cells. The pharmacological network analysis predicted induction apoptosis might be...

In order to establish the extraction technology of flavonoids from Dendrobium officinale leaves, a method combining Plackett–Burman design (PBD), steepest ascent design, and central composite was developed optimize flavonoids. addition, tyrosinase activity inhibition further tested in vitro. PBD results showed that ethanol concentration number extractions were key factors. Response surface methodology (RSM) indicated optimal conditions 78% concentration, six times, 2 h, 1:50 solid-liquid...

Abstract Utidelone (UTD1), a novel microtubule stabilizing agent, is an epothilone B analogue which was produced by genetic engineering. UTD1 has exhibited broad antitumor activity in multiple solid tumors. However, its and mechanism colorectal cancer (CRC) remain to be studied. In this study, dramatically inhibited CRC cell proliferation (with 0.38 µg/ml, 0.77 µg/ml IC50 RKO HCT116, respectively) vitro. Immunofluorescence staining showed that induced the formation of bundling asters cells....

Suanzaoren decoction (SZRT), a classic Chinese herbal prescription, has been used as treatment for insomnia more than thousand years. However, recent studies have found no significant effects of SZRT caused by gastric discomfort. Herein, we studied the modified (MSZRD) on gastrointestinal disorder-related insomnia. The main constituents MSZRD were spinosin (2.21 mg/g) and 6-feruloylspinosin (0.78 mg/g). A pentobarbital-induced animal model showed that shortened sleep latency prolonged time...
