Background: The COVID-19 pandemic and its handling have made evident the cardinal role of vaccines in controlling spread diseases, especially around developed cities. Therefore, precisely characterizing their response has taken a relevant role. Unfortunately, substantial evidence proven time dependence effectiveness, requiring new approaches that account not only for single value estimations but also changes effectiveness. Methodology: A strategy is proposed to estimate continuous profile...

Summary We used Breteau Indices to – retrospectively predict dengue transmission. The presence of one house block (on average about 50 houses) with a Index ≥4 in neighbourhood (a plus the surrounding blocks radius 100 m) predicted transmission at latter level 81.8% sensitivity and 73.3% specificity during first month Havana 2001 outbreak. This result corroborates external validity this threshold, least situations low infestations levels.

Cities are complex systems whose characteristics impact the health of people who live in them. Nonetheless, urban determinants often vary within spatial scales smaller than resolution epidemiological datasets. Thus, as cities expand and their inequalities grow, development theoretical frameworks that explain at neighbourhood level is becoming increasingly critical. Due to the ever-increasing data collected in genomic breeding programs, there is a need for prediction models that can deal better with big data. For this reason, here we propose Maximum posteriori Threshold Genomic Prediction (MAPT) model ordinal traits more efficient than conventional Bayesian traits.
