Abstract This trial aimed to customize pikeperch ( Sander lucioperca ) larval nutrition using live feed enrichments based on Chlorella vulgaris and Trachydiscus minutus . Pikeperch larvae were fed with rotifers Artemia enriched C. T. during the first 17 days after exogenous feeding (started 4 post‐hatching [dph]) only until 20 dph. Larvae exposed seven different enrichments: (a) Nannochloropsis occulata (Nanno 3600 reed Mariculture) (Control), (b) cultured at 20°C in BG‐117 medium (BG20),...

Photosynthesis, growth and biochemical composition of the biomass freshwater microalga Chlamydopodium fusiforme cultures outdoors in a thin-layer cascade were investigated. Gross oxygen production measured off-line samples taken from outdoor was correlated with electron transport rate estimated chlorophyll fluorescence measurements. According to photosynthesis measurements, mean 38.9 ± 10.3 mol photons required release one mole O2, which is 4.86 times higher than theoretical value (8 per 1...

<title>Abstract</title> Two microalgae, Scenedesmus sp. and Chlorella (Chlorophyceae), robust well-growing species, with a potential for biostimulating activities, were cultured in raceway ponds (RWPs) placed greenhouse. The objective of this case study was to monitor the performance microalgae cultures in-situ at various depths as concerns photosynthetic activity physico-chemical variables (irradiance, temperature, dissolved oxygen...
