Abstract The relative free energy perturbation (RFEP) calculation is one of the most theoretically sound computational chemistry approaches for binding affinity prediction. However, its application often hindered by complexity choices and requirement expertise in field. Improper lambda scheme RFEP may result deviations from an accurate description process prone to erroneous predictions. To address such challenges, automated adaptive method proposed where schemes are obtained through a...

An efficient fractional volumetric scheme is proposed for lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). By reducing the effective time step, possesses much better stability particularly thermal LBM. The same accuracy and simplicity of standard LBM are preserved achieving Navier-Stokes equation. Since viscosity reduced by fraction factor p, becomes very simulating high Reynolds number flows.

In this paper, we investigate the existence of higher-order dynamics in lattice-based models. We have identified two conditions that determine whether a model would allow some Burnett-like equations when Chapman-Enskog expansion is used. These are number conserved quantity as well space and time discretization. shall demonstrate these by discussing (1) pure diffusion equation (2) hydrodynamic equations. While fact allows can be shown easily, will illustrate care must taken deriving for...

In this paper, Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is used to investigate the freely-decaying two-dimensional (2D) turbulence. The main purpose focuses on recent mathematical results about a central assumption in theory of turbulence proposed by Batchelor. numerical found an approximate exponent energy spectrum E(k) ∼ k−3.5 at high mesh resolutions and decaying enstrophy ‹ω› T−2/3. addition, integral length scale l T−1/2 observed. These validate new 2D are different from derived Batchelor's model.

As one of the geological disasters, rockburst is often generated in underground engineering under excavation unloading conditions high geostress areas. Taking advantage simulation test especially for rock mass hydrostatic stress, dynamic failure style resulted from instantaneous direction was studied, whose peak velocity and acting time are analyzed. The results indicate that formula calculating kinetic energy proper little portion recovery strain energy, most which dissipation different...
