The flame retardance of glass fiber reinforced polymers is an important worldwide challenge due to the wick effect caused by fiber. In this paper, interfacial resistance mode was proposed in order solve problem efficient and economic manner. Unlike conventional bulk based on a high loading retardants distributed evenly throughout entire composite matrix, concentrates only very low content located fiber–polymer regions, where wicking action occurs, grafted surface. According new mode,...

Abstract The halogen‐free flame retardance of glass fiber reinforced polyamide‐6 (PA6) is an everlastingly challenge due to well‐known wick effect. In this research, a novel system composed nitrogen–phosphorous retardant, melamine polyphosphate combined with macromolecular charring agent, silicon‐modified phenolic resin (SPR), was employed flame‐retard PA6. It exhibited obvious synergistic effect between the two components at proper ratio range. composites can be remarkably improved...

Abstract The morphology of nonisothermally crystallized poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) and its blend with poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK) have been observed by polarized optical microscope (POM) equipped a hot stage. nonisothermal crystallization behavior PPS PEEK/PPS has also investigated differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). maximum temperature for is about 15°C higher than that neat PPS, the rate, characterized half time, PPS. These results indicate PEEK acts as an effective nucleation...

Objective The aim of this study was to analyze the accurate three-dimensional positions and positional changes lip nose in patients with unilateral cleft palate. Methods Sixty-three complete palate (UCLP) 96 isolated were retrospectively enrolled. Facial casts all subjects taken immediately before after cheiloplasty palatoplasty used. Three-dimensional values 12 landmarks measured by electronic caliper parallel milling machine. Independent-samples t test used analyzing differences between...

Poly(aryl imino sulfone)s (PAISs) as novel high-performance polymers have been obtained by the condensation polymerization of 4,4′-dibromodiphenyl sulfone with different primary aromatic diamines via Palladium-catalyzed aryl amination reaction. The influence halogen-containing monomers, solvent, concentration, and temperature on polycondensation reaction was investigated. structure synthesized characterized means FT–IR, NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, results showed an agreement...

The surface pretreatment before bonding repair determines the microscopic physical and chemical properties of composites, directly affects strength maintenance effect. In this paper, Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) was pretreated by Cold Plasma Treatment (CPT) under 2.5 times air atmosphere (0.25 MPa) to achieve best interface micro-performance for repair. Based on microstructure activity test, single lap test used evaluate after modification. results show that optimized treatment...

Abstract Poly(ether‐urethane) (PEU) was irradiated by neutron in different atmospheres. The hydrogen bonding interaction analyzed Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and the microstructure of PEU had been investigated positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS). gas products were detected chromatography after irradiation. results demonstrated that irradiation led to more bonded carbonyl PEU, smaller relative free volume fraction, narrower distribution. It suggested increasing bonds...

Molecular dynamics calculations were made of the distance from hydrogen atom imino group to oxygen carbonyl poly(imino ketone ketone) (PIIKK). The results showed that theoretically there was bond formation between hydroxyl and PIIKK. existence bonding polymer chains PIIKK confirmed by infrared spectrum analysis. Due bonding, glass transition temperature increased 273°C 143°C for poly(ether ether (PEEK).
