Osteochondroplastic tracheobronchopathy ( tracheobronchopathia osteochondroplastica ) is a rare benign disease of the trachea and large bronchi unknown etiology. It characterized by an overgrowth cartilage and/or bone in submucosal layer with varying degrees narrowing lumen. Due to nonspecific symptoms low awareness among doctors, this may remain undiagnosed for long time. The aim study was present clinical case review literature on modern methods diagnosis osteochondroplastic...
We report a case of metastatic pulmonary calcification in patient with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis and secondary hyperparathyroidism. The diagnosis was made by using probe-based confocal endomicroscopy which showed specific structures the lung tissue proven transbronchial biopsy. To best our knowledge, this is first reported findings calcification.
The ability of high-definition (HD) videobronchoscopy to detect airway involvement in sarcoidosis has not been evaluated previously. What is the role HD identification sarcoidosis-associated abnormalities (AAs)? What are patterns AAs more commonly observed and frequently associated with detection granulomas endobronchial biopsy (EBB)?In this prospective international multicenter cohort study, consecutive patients suspected underwent inspection an videobronchoscope EBB using a standardized...
Patients with lung cancer may present additional lesions in the central airways. Earlier studies have shown a relationship between vessel diameter, pattern and grade of malignancy. High-definition (HD+) bronchoscopy image enhancement techniques (i-scan) detected more vascular abnormalities but correlation pathology has not yet been established. In this investigator-initiated, randomised, controlled, crossover, multicentre study patients suspected cancer, HD+ was performed i-scan1 i-scan2...
Purpose. To study a possibility of performance and diagnostic accuracy ultrasonography (US) larynx in identification motility disorders VF (vocal folds) comparison with the laryngoscope which is traditionally applied for this purpose.Materials methods. According to objectives study, two patient groups were formed. In first group patients (n = 466) we studied acceptability ultrasonografy discriminate various laryngeal structures. second 432) evaluated point detection vocal muscles...
The diagnosis of intrathoracic non-tuberculous mycobacteriosis (NTM) is challenging. We report a case pediatric pulmonary NTM with endobronchial lesion and lymphadenitis in child HIV infection diagnosed by bronchoscopic biopsy, EBUS-TBNA probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE). pCLE showed large number highly fluorescent cells zones density disorganized elastin fibers at alveolar areas. A combination diagnostic endoscopic procedures required to establish the NTM.
Background: VATS lobectomy– is a routine surgical procedure for pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and lung cancer (LC) patients, today. Nevertheless, lobectomy associated with longer learning curve because of its inherent basic limitations. The robotic system developed essentially to overcome these aim this study compares perioperative outcome RATS LC TB in setting. Methods: Prospective clinical trial from May 2013 January 2015. 47 consecutive patients were selected lobectomy. Two...
Background . The diagnostic yield of a standard forceps biopsy for central lung cancer is 74 %. However, the value significantly reduced in presence necrosis tumor. In Russia, cryobiopsy diagnosis currently used only few clinical centers. purpose this study to present series cases showing effectiveness method morphological verification neoplasms with necrosis. Description article presents 3 patients cancer, which was ineffective due severe performed at second stage made it possible all...
Sjögren’s syndrome is systemic autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of various organs with wide frequency pulmonary involvement. Diffuse cystic lung in a rare condition and requires differential diagnosis other pathologies such as lymphangioleyomiomatosis or Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) method vivo investigation airways tissue on microscopic level during bronchoscopy. We used this diffuse caused syndrome. The pCLE...
Probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) is a method that produces microscopic imaging of lung tissue during bronchoscopy. We report case ot patient with negative nasopharyngeal swabs and suspected cancer who underwent pCLE. The diagnosis COVID-19 was confirmed by PCR analyses lavage fluid transbrohial biopsy. pCLE image shows density alveolar thickened fibres, disorganization elastin network, multiple large drops intraalveolar secretions. As far as we know, this the first discribed...
The diagnosis of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia (IIP) remains one the most challenging issues in pulmonology. article demonstrates capabilities method probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) diagnosing various forms IIPs and provides comparisons with CT histological picture. According to data obtained, it is difficult distinguish from each other using pCLE. Among specific signs, a large number alveolar cells pCLE nonsmoking patient desquamative not typical for IIP nonsmokers....
Desquamative interstitial pneumonia is a rare disease that predominantly associated with smoking. Surgical biopsy usually recommended for the diagnosis of this disorder. Probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) new method minimally invasive in vivo microscopic image airways and alveoli. We use desquamative nonsmoker. The pCLE shows thickened intra-alveolar septae clusters autofluorescent cells within alveoli, which unusual non-smoking patients. think pattern can be used differential...
In the recent years, tactic of tuberculosis treatment has undergone significant changes due to increased incidence MDR and XDR-Tb.These forms disease can not be treated by usual chemotherapy regimens.A similar trend is observed worldwide. Therefore, Tb surgery obviously experienced a kind rebirth in many countries. This article summarizes current views on surgical pulmonary tuberculosis.Refs 33.
Background: Long-term follow-up of patients with pulmonary TB after surgery remains unknown field. The aim this study was investigate later results minimally invasive lobectomy in cases. Methods: 69 (pts) single-sided localized (30 drug sensitive, 39 M-/XDR) underwent during 2013-2016. Thoracotomy, VATS, robotic approaches used 30, 11, 28 cases respectively. Treatment outcomes, persistent post-surgical pain and quality life (QOL) analyzed one year surgery. SF-36 questionnaire...
Actuality: Differential diagnosis of pulmonary TB and nontuberculous mycobacteriosis (NTM) is complicated because similar clinical, radiologic, histopathologic manifestation based on detection certain type Mycobacterium. The aim to compare probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) images in patients with NTM Material Methods: In retrospective study included 17 one side or bilateral infiltrates (12 5 NTM). Diagnosis all proved by microscopy, culture PCR...
