The biofertilization of crops with plant-growth-promoting microorganisms is currently considered as a healthy alternative to chemical fertilization. However, only safe for humans can be used biofertilizers, particularly in vegetables that are raw consumed, order avoid sanitary problems derived from the presence pathogenic bacteria final products. In present work we showed Rhizobium strains colonize roots tomato and pepper plants promoting their growth different production stages increasing...

The increasing interest in the preservation of environment and health consumers is changing production methods food consumption habits. Functional foods are increasingly demanded by because they contain bioactive compounds involved protection. In this sense biofertilization using plant probiotics a reliable alternative to use chemical fertilizers, but there few studies about effects on yield functional fruits and, especially, content compounds. present work we reported that strain genus...

Abstract Microbial biofertilizers are becoming an effective tool for sustainable agriculture by means of the reduction use chemical fertilizers. However, knowledge each specific plant–microorganism interaction is essential a correct application. In this study, we analyzed in vitro plant‐growth‐promotion mechanisms Rhizobium leguminosarum strain named PEPV16 isolated from Phaseolus vulgaris nodules. This was able to produce siderophores and indole acetic acid solubilize phosphate. Confocal...

Bacteria currently included in Rhizobium leguminosarum are too diverse to be considered a single species, so we can refer this as species complex (the Rlc). We have found 429 publicly available genome sequences that fall within the Rlc and these show is distinct entity, well separated from other genus. Its sister taxon R. anhuiense. constructed phylogeny based on concatenated of 120 universal (core) genes, calculated pairwise average nucleotide identity (ANI) between all genomes. From...

Abstract The growing interest in a healthy lifestyle and environmental protection is changing habits regarding food consumption agricultural practices. Good practice indispensable, particularly for raw vegetables, can include the use of plant probiotic bacteria purpose biofertilization. In this work we analysed potential rhizobial strain PEPV40, identified as Rhizobium laguerreae through analysis recA atpD genes, on growth spinach plants. This presents several vitro promotion mechanisms,...

Salinity is one of the main causes abiotic stress in plants, resulting negative effects on crop growth and yield, especially arid semi-arid regions. The salinity plant mainly generate osmotic stress, ion toxicity, nutrient deficiency, oxidative stress. Traditional approaches for development salt-tolerant crops are expensive time-consuming, as well not always being easy to implement. Thus, use growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) has been reported a sustainable cost-effective alternative enhance...

The species Rhizobium lupini was isolated from Lupinus nodules and included in the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Nevertheless, on basis analysis type strain this available DSMZ, DSM 30140(T), whose 16S rRNA gene identical to that Bradyrhizobium japonicum , R. considered a later synonym species. In study we confirmed 30140(T) belongs B. but also it cannot be original because effectively nodulated whereas able nodulate soybean not Lupinus. Since deposited into USDA collection by L....

A strain, PEPV15(T), was isolated from a nodule on Phaseolus vulgaris grown in soil northern Spain. Phylogenetic analyses of 16S rRNA and atpD genes showed that this strain belongs to the genus Phyllobacterium. The most closely related species were, both cases, Phyllobacterium brassicacearum, bourgognense trifolii, type strains which gave sequence similarities 98.9, 98.6 98.4 %, respectively, gene 88.1, 87.5 88.7 gene. Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is a widely consumed horticultural species. Its significance lies in high polyphenolic compound content, including phenolic acids and flavonols. In this work, we have probed the ability of Rhizobium laguerreae HUTR05 to promote lettuce growth, under vitro greenhouse conditions (both non-saline saline conditions). This strain has shown several plant growth promotion mechanisms, as well capacity colonize seedlings roots. We analyzed effect rhizobacterium inoculation...
