We describe two cases of possible healthcare-associated mucormycosis in liver transplant recipients. Mucorales may be acquired from environmental sources such as contaminated medical equipment, grafts or procedure related. Gastrointestinal is the second most common presentation infections. The high mortality rate due to low suspicion, insensitive diagnostic tests and rapid angioinvasion. Early antifungal treatment surgical debridement are imperative improve survival.
