Fluorescent carbon quantum dots (r-CDs) were synthesized safely and readily by stirring at room temperature with a yield of 76.5%. The r-CDs exhibit bright green emission an absolute 12.0% under the excitation ultraviolet light. Within pH range 3–12, excellent fluorescence stability. Interestingly, intensity faded promptly when value diminished to 2 then regained returned 3. This means that can be used as "on–off–on" fluorescent probes for sensing. mechanism this sensitive response behavior...

Estrogen contamination is recognized as one of the most serious environmental problems, causing widespread concern worldwide. Environmental estrogens are mainly derived from human and vertebrate excretion, drugs, agricultural activities. The use microorganisms currently economical effective method for biodegradation estrogens. Rhodococcus equi DSSKP-R-001 (R-001) has strong estrogen-degrading capabilities. Our study indicated that R-001 can different types estrogen its sole carbon source...

As a matter of experience, people always take it for granted that ambient light should be eliminated the research and application storage phosphors. Such an empirical viewpoint has hindered development phosphors in lighting environment. Herein, we introduce glow-in-the-daylight phenomenon, which is essentially photostimulated luminescence ultraviolet phosphor upon stimulation by polychromatic daylight. proof concept, imaging spectral experiments are carried out using x-ray-charged LuPO4:Pr3+...

RNA is an essential biological material for research in genomics and translational medicine. As such, its storage biobanking important field of study. Traditionally, long-term the cold (generally freezers or liquid nitrogen) used to maintain high-quality (in terms quantity integrity) RNA. Room temperature (RT) preservation provides alternative cold, which plagued by serious problems (mainly cost safety), storage. In this study, we evaluated performance several RT procedures, including...

This study investigates the effect of 100 mg L-1 thymol treatment on quality post-harvest peppers stored at 10 °C. The results showed that significantly reduced decay rate, reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, and saturated fatty acid levels in peppers. Moreover, unsaturated acids, non-enzymatic antioxidants, antioxidant enzyme increased after treatment. For example, catalase (CAT) activity rose by 1.29-fold 18 d, while ascorbic (AsA) content 3.38-fold 36 d. Additionally, application...

Abstract The title reaction of secondary amines with α‐diazo compounds proceeds via a cross‐dehydrogenative coupling process involving sequential aerobic oxidation/[3+2] cycloaddition/oxidative aromatization procedure and provides an efficient method for the construction 1,2,3‐triazoles in single step atom‐economic manner from readily available starting materials under very mild conditions.

Background Bupleuri Radix (Chaihu) is a famous traditional Chinese medicine derived from Bupleurum , Apiaceae. The origin of cultivated Chaihu germplasm in China unclear, which has led to unstable quality. In this study, we reconstructed the phylogeny main species and identified potential molecular markers authenticate its origin. Methods Three (eight individuals), B. bicaule chinense scorzonerifolium were selected for genome skimming. Published genomes falcatum marginatum var. stenophyllum...
