Abstract This report presents the conceptual design of a new European research infrastructure EuPRAXIA. The concept has been established over last four years in unique collaboration 41 laboratories within Horizon 2020 study funded by Union. EuPRAXIA is first project that develops dedicated particle accelerator based on novel plasma acceleration concepts and laser technology. It focuses development electron accelerators underlying technologies, their user communities, exploitation existing...
We explore some general consequences of a proper, full enforcement the ``twisted Poincar\'e'' covariance Chaichian et al., Wess, Koch and Oeckl upon many-particle quantum mechanics field quantization on Moyal-Weyl noncommutative space(time). This entails associated braided tensor product with an involutive braiding (or $\ensuremath{\star}$-tensor in parlance Aschieri al.) prescription for any coordinate pair $x$, $y$ generating two different copies space(time); nontrivial commutation...
Abstract We point out a rather effective approach for solving the time-dependent harmonic oscillator $\ddot q=-\omega^2 q$ under various regularity assumptions. Where $\omega(t)$ is $C^1$ this reduced to Hamilton equation angle variable $\psi$ alone (the action $I$ obtained by quadrature). The fixed theorem integral equivalent generic Cauchy problem $\psi(t)$
yields sequence $\{\psi^{(h)}\}_{h\in \mathbb{N}_0}$ converging fast; if $\omega$ varies slowly or little, already...
This proposal describes an experimental search for sterile neutrinos beyond the Standard Model with a new CERN-SPS neutrino beam. The experiment is based on two identical LAr-TPC's followed by magnetized spectrometers, observing electron and muon events at 1600 300 m from proton target. project will exploit ICARUS T600, moved LNGS to CERN "Far" position. An additional 1/4 of T600 detector be constructed located in "Near" Two spectrometers placed downstream LAr-TPC detectors greatly...
We analytically study the impact of a short laser pulse onto an inhomogeneous cold diluted plasma at rest, in particular: duration hydrodynamic regime; formation and features waves (PWs); their wave-breakings (WBs); motion test electrons injected PWs. If is plane wave travelling $z$-direction, initial density (IPD) depends only on $z$, then suitable matched bounds maximum relative variations IPD, as well intensity pulse, ensure strictly evolution electron fluid during its whole interaction...
By the application of general twist-induced ⋆-deformation procedure we translate second quantization a system bosons/fermions on symmetric spacetime into noncommutative language. The deforms, in coordinated way, algebra and its symmetries, wave-mechanical description n bosons/fermions, creation annihilation operators also commutation relations latter with functions spacetime; our key requirement is mode-decomposition independence quantum field. In minimalistic view, use coordinates can be...
We consider an isotropic two dimensional harmonic oscillator with arbitrarily time-dependent mass $M(t)$ and frequency $\Omega(t)$ in magnetic field $B(t)$. determine commuting invariant observables (in the sense of Lewis Riesenfeld) $L,I$ terms some solution auxiliary ordinary differential equation orthonormal basis Hilbert space consisting joint eigenvectors $\phi_\lambda$ $L,I$. then phases $\alpha_\lambda(t)$ such that $\psi_\lambda(t)=e^{i\alpha_\lambda}\phi_\lambda$ are solutions...
We show that under appropriate conditions the impact of a very short and intense laser pulse onto plasma causes expulsion surface electrons with high energy in direction opposite to one propagations pulse. This is due combined effects ponderomotive force huge longitudinal field arising from charge separation (“slingshot effect”). The effect should also be present other states matter, provided sufficiently locally cause complete ionization. An experimental test seems feasible and, if...
We show that the isotropic harmonic oscillator in ordinary Euclidean space R N (N≥3) admits a natural q-deformation into new quantum-mechanical model having q-deformed symmetry (in sense of quantum groups), SO q (N, R). The is consequence replacing by [Formula: see text] (the corresponding space). This provides an example mechanics on noncommutative geometrical space. To reach goal, we also have to deal with sensible definition integration over text], which use for scalar product states.
We construct the q-deformed analogue of completely antisymmetric tensors and corresponding q-determinants detq T for quantum groups SOq(N), Spq(n). The construction is based on existence volume form in algebra exterior forms spaces. show that central Fun(SOq(N)) (respectively Fun(Sp,(n))) group-like under Hopf comultiplication, its square 1.
We revisit the exact microscopic equations (in differential, and equivalent integral form) ruling a relativistic cold plasma after plane-wave Ansatz, without customary approximations. show that in Eulerian description motion of very diluted initially at rest excited by an arbitrary transverse plane electromagnetic travelling-wave has simple explicit dependence on potential; for non-zero density above is good approximation real one as long back-reaction charges field can be neglected, i.e....
Any deformation of a Weyl or Clifford algebra A can be realized through `deforming map', i.e. formal change generators in A. This is true particular if covariant under Lie g and its induced by some triangular $U_h g$ the Hopf $Ug$. We propose systematic method to construct all corresponding deforming maps, together with realizations action g$. The then generalized explicitly applied case that quantum group sl(2)$. preliminary study status maps at representation level shows `deformed' Fock...
The Euclidean Hopf algebra Uq(eN) dual of Fun(RNq■SOq−1(N)) is constructed by realizing it as a subalgebra the differential Diff(RNq) on quantum space RNq; in fact, previous realization [G. Fiore, Commun. Math. Phys. 169, 475–500 (1995)] Uq−1(so(N)) extended within through introduction q derivatives generators translations. fundamental Hilbert-space representations turn out to be highest weight type and rather simple ‘‘lattice-regularized’’ versions classical ones. vectors basis singlet...
GLq(N)- and SOq(N)-covariant deformations of the completely symmetric/antisymmetric projectors with an arbitrary number indices are explicitly constructed as polynomials in braid matrices. The precise relation between antisymmetric tensor is determined. Adopting differential calculi on corresponding quantum group covariant noncommutative spaces , we introduce a generalized notion vielbein basis (or 'frame'), based differential-operator-valued 1-forms. We then give thorough definition...

User areas at both sites provide access to free-electron laser pilot...
