Given that endocannabinoid system (ECS)...

What are the effects of endocannabinoid anandamide (AEA) in uterine natural killer (unK) cells from miscarriage decidua, regarding their cytokine profile and endometrial stromal cell (ESC) crosstalk?uNK-conditioned media samples present high TNF-α levels which inhibit ESC decidualisation.AEA plasma higher women who have suffered a miscarriage. Moreover, AEA inhibits proliferation differentiation, although impact on uNK at feto-maternal interface remain elusive. This laboratory-based study...
Introduction: We evaluated the clinical course during pregnancy and neonatal outcomes of a cohort Portuguese women with myasthenia gravis (MG). Methods: Retrospective study. Methods. authors present their experience with rHuEPO during pregnancy, two women kidney transplants three others chronic renal insufficiency (one diabetic nephropathy, another dialysis dependent), all hematocrit below 30% adequate iron reserves. Results. Three had needed blood transfusions before beginning...
Proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of trophoblast cells are required for normal placental development. Impairment those processes may lead to pregnancy-related diseases. Disruption endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis has been associated with several reproductive pathologies including recurrent pregnancy loss preeclampsia. In the unfolded protein response (UPR), specific ER-stress signalling pathways activated restore ER homeostasis, but if adaptive fails, is triggered. Protein...
Cannabis consumption is increasing worldwide either for recreational or medical purposes. Its use during gestation associated with negative pregnancy outcomes such as, intrauterine growth restriction, preterm birth, low birth weight, and increased risk of miscarriage, though the underlying molecular mechanisms are unknown. sativa main psychoactive compound, Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) highly lipophilic, as such, readily crosses placenta. Consequently, THC may alter normal placental...

Preeclampsia (PE), a leading cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity mortality worldwide, is hypertensive disorder unknown aetiology characterized by proteinuria, coagulation abnormalities different systemic manifestations. Since there are no studies regarding the evaluation oxidized LDL (oxLDL) in women with history PE, we focused on lipid profile oxLDL plasma concentration several years after pregnancy to see if these have any modifications parameters that may be linked risk...
