Abstract Large flexible organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) display provides various electronic applications such as curved, bendable, rollable, and commercial display, because of its thinness, light weight, design freedom. Abstract This paper describes the development of 12‐in. 100 PPI active‐matrix micro‐LED stretchable displays, capable being stretched up to 20%. Our work has involved key technologies such as interconnects, films, and micro‐LEDs integration process for these components. The displays exhibited various types deformations, suggesting potential new applications in information display.
We report a highly stretchable display panel capable of enduring extreme deformations including large curvature folding, fully folded deformation and stretching without any damage. examined both uniaxial multi‐axial with the panel, presented method to calculate its stretchability. Our exhibited areal stretchability up 45% strain remained reliably functional through 10,000 repeated cycles at 20% tensile strain.
