Several studies have reported that Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels increase with age for people without diabetes. However, HbA1c associated and gender not been well investigated Taiwanese adults. The objective of this study was to investigate the sex-specific association between adults data were collected from Taiwan Biobank database inclusive criteria being participants values conducted by linear regression analysis, sexes compared two-sample t-test, among groups using one-way ANOVA. results...

In this paper, we aimed to examine the protective role of hyperuricemia in prevalence osteoporosis a large Asian cohort. A total 119,037 participants from 29 recruitment centers Taiwan were enrolled onto our study. Participants with serum uric acid greater than 7.0 mg/dL men and 6.0 women classified as group whereas others control group. The mean age all was 50; there 23,114 subjects (19%) hyperuricemia. Osteoporosis observed 8243 (9%) 1871 (8%) groups, respectively. After adjusting for...

(-)-Epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) is the main active green tea catechin and has a wide variety of benefits for health. Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) occurs as consequence joint injuries that commonly happen in young population. In this study, we investigated effects EGCG on PTOA prevention by using anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT)–OA model further roles autophagy OA treatment. Our results showed intra-articular injection significantly improved functional performances...

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent joint disease that causes an enormous burden of worldwide. (−)-Epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) has been reported to reduce post-traumatic OA progression through its anti-inflammatory property. Aging crucial risk factor OA, and majority incidences are related age not trauma. In this study, we assess whether EGCG can ameliorate cartilage degradation in primary OA. in-vitro real-time PCR was performed expression genes associated with human articular...
