When p-aminothiophenol (PATP) is used as a probe molecule and adsorbs on silver gold nanogaps, significant change of relative SERS intensities can be observed. Our DFT calculations show that surface photocatalytic coupling reactions yield new species p,p′-dimercaptoazobenzene (DMAB) causing the in spectra.

Dams are often regarded as greenhouse gas (GHG) emitters. However, our study indicated that the world's largest dam, Three Gorges Dam (TGD), has caused significant drops in annual average emissions of CO2, CH4 and N2O over 4300 km along Yangtze River, accompanied by remarkable reductions export CO2 (79%), (50%) (9%) to sea. Since commencement its operation 2003, TGD altered carbonate equilibrium reservoir area, enhanced methanogenesis upstream, restrained denitrification via modifying anoxic...

Abstract Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is known to play a critical role in cellular functions. However, the fluorescent probe enantio-selectively targeting live-cell mtDNA rare. We recently found that well-known ‘light-switch’ [Ru(phen)2dppz]Cl2 can image nuclear live-cells with chlorophenolic counter-anions via forming lipophilic ion-pairing complex. Interestingly, after washing fresh-medium, was re-localize from nucleus mitochondria ABC transporter proteins. Intriguingly, two enantiomers of...

An I2/cumene hydroperoxide (CHP)‐mediated tandem cyclization of 2‐aminoaryl ketone oximes with isocyanides has been developed. Various 2‐aminoquinazolines were obtained in 49‐96% yields under transition‐metal‐free conditions, and the resulting 4‐phenylquinazolin‐2‐amines show typical fluorescent emission properties. The key to success this strategy involves formation iminyl radical via N‐O bond cleavage hydroxy oxime.
