The 1,2,4-triazole system has shown excellent electron-transport and hole-blocking properties owing to its highly electron-deficient nature. Accordingly, a large number of derivatives have been described as having wide variety uses in materials science. Triazoles are widely used transition-metal complexes or metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), but metal-free also exhibited interesting useful materials. use these derivatives, either small molecules polymers, light-emitting devices allowed the...

We report a semiconducting triindole-based discotic liquid crystal (TRISMe) functionalized with six p-methylthiophenyl groups at its periphery. While initially crystalline solid room temperature, TRISMe transitions to columnar hexagonal mesophase upon heating and retains this supramolecular organization subsequent cooling, despite having only three flexible alkyl chains attached the core's nitrogens. The incorporation of methylthio effectively hinders tight molecular packing, stabilizing...

Herein, we present a novel C(sp3)–C(sp3) bond-forming protocol via the reductive coupling of abundant tertiary amides with organozinc reagents prepared in situ from their corresponding alkyl halides. Using multistep fully automated flow protocol, this reaction could be used for both library synthesis and target molecule on gram-scale starting bench-stable reagents. Additionally, excellent chemoselectivity functional group tolerance make it ideal late-stage diversification druglike molecules.
