Nano-grained (NG) metals are believed to be strong but intrinsically brittle: Free-standing NG usually exhibit a tensile uniform elongation of few percent. When copper film is confined by coarse-grained (CG) substrate with gradient grain-size transition, plasticity can achieved in the where strain localization suppressed. The exhibits 10 times higher yield strength and comparable that CG sustain true exceeding 100% without cracking. A mechanically driven grain boundary migration process...

A deep-learning-based cloud detection and classification algorithm for advanced Himawari imager (AHI) measurements from the geostationary satellite Himawari-8 has been developed. It is found that a combination of observed radiances simulated clear-sky can substantially improve phase discrimination, especially optically thin clouds. Therefore, detection, classification, multilayer are obtained simultaneously multispectral using deep neural networks (DNNs). Two DNN models established all-day...

A red-light emitting europium complex(see Figure) is investigated here as an alternative to traditional fluorescent materials, which have inherent electroluminescence (EL) efficiency limited 25 % of their photoluminescence (PL) efficiency. It shown that by optimizing the structure Eu complex–based devices significant improvements in EL and stability can be obtained.

Electroluminescent (EL) devices using an europium complex Eu(DBM)3 bath as the electron-transport emitting layer were fabricated. The quenching effect of metal cathode and unstable nature Eu under EL operation markedly influence efficiency. By keeping area far from partly doping with a hole-transport material, performance was significantly improved. Sharp-band red emissions turn-on voltage 3 V, brightness 820 cd/m2, external quantum efficiency 1% achieved.

Climate and human activities change spatial temporal distribution of water land use. The Tarim River, the largest inland river in China, faced a long-term exploitation over rapid economic development. We analyzed use from 1997 to 2019 River Basin by Landsat images, data on hydrology, climate, population, economy PM2.5 (air particulate matter ≤2.5 μm). Agricultural expanded fastest (4–11%), followed natural vegetation (15–16%) area (4–5%) with population increase. Air quality (PM2.5 μg m−3)...

The long-term overuse of fertilizers negatively affects soil chemical properties and health, causing unsustainable agricultural development. Although many studies have focused on the effects fertilization properties, few comparative comprehensive been conducted management over past 35 years in China. This meta-analysis (2058 data) evaluated fertilizer, climate, crop types, cultivation duration texture Chinese croplands. NPKM (NPK + manure) led to highest increase pH (−0.1), organic carbon...

Abstract. The properties of aerosols are highly uncertain owing to the complex changes in their composition different regions. radiative aerosol types differ considerably and vital for studying regional and/or global climate effects. Traditional aerosol-type identification algorithms, generally based on cluster or empirical analysis methods, often inaccurate time-consuming. In response, our study aimed develop a new classification model using an innovative hybrid algorithm improve precision...
