Strong light localization inside the nanoscale gaps provides remarkable opportunities for creation of various medical and biosensing platforms stimulating an active search inexpensive easily scalable fabrication at a sub-100 nm resolution. In this paper, self-organized laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSSs) with shortest ever reported periodicity 70 ± 10 were directly imprinted on crystalline Si wafer upon its direct femtosecond-laser ablation in isopropanol. Appearance such...

Recent progress in hybrid optical nanomaterials composed of dissimilar constituents permitted an improvement the performance and functionality novel devices developed for optoelectronics, catalysis, medical diagnostics, sensing. However, rational combination contrasting materials such as noble metals semiconductors within individual nanostructures via a ready-to-use lithography-free fabrication approach is still challenge. Here, we report on two-step synthesis Au-Si microspheres generated by...

The study focuses on the phase transitions found in hybrid halide perovskites based 1,6-hexamethylenediamine and lead chloride using X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), infrared (IR) spectroscopy methods. It was shown that low-temperature transition is accompanied by a change degree of disorder inorganic subsystem conformation types organic cations. hysteresis detected contingent upon discrepancy response "soft" "hard" subsystems to energy input/output system as whole.

Nickel- and zinc-doped TiO2(B) nanobelts were synthesized using a hydrothermal technique. It was found that the incorporation of 5 at.% Ni into bronze TiO2 expanded unit cell by 4%. Furthermore, dopant induced 3d energy levels within band structure oxygen defects, narrowing gap from 3.28 eV (undoped) to 2.70 eV. Oppositely, Zn entered restrictedly TiO2(B), but nonetheless, improves its electronic properties (Eg is narrowed 3.21 eV). The conductivity nickel- (2.24 × 10-8 S·cm-1)...

Abstract To stabilize nontrivial spin textures, e.g., skyrmions or chiral domain walls in ultrathin magnetic films, an additional degree of freedom, such as the interfacial Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (IDMI), must be induced by strong spin-orbit coupling (SOC) a stacked heavy metal layer. However, advanced approaches to simultaneously control IDMI and perpendicular anisotropy (PMA) are needed for future spin-orbitronic device implementations. Here, we show effect atomic-scale surface...
