The coordination of the trivalent 4f ions, Ln = La<sup>3+</sup>, Dy<sup>3+</sup>, and Lu<sup>3+</sup>, with neutral acidic organophosphorus reagents, both individually combined, was studied by use X-ray absorption spectroscopy.
