Abstract In a double‐blind, randomized, crossover, placebo‐controlled study, we investigated the effects of adding taurine to conventional treatment in 14 patients with congestive heart failure for 4‐week period. Chromatographic and spectrometric discrimination of fentanyl its 24 analogues are discussed. Twenty-three 25 samples were discriminated from each other by gas chromatography (GC), the combination GC mass spectrometry enabled all samples. Condensed-phase infrared was also useful for differentiation structurally similar compounds, but vapor-phase spectra not fentanyls.

ひき逃げ事件で重要な物的証拠となるヘッドライトガラスについて,これに含まれる微量不純物の放射光蛍光X線分析を行い,分析結果の比較による異同識別を試みた.6種類の異なる車両から採取したガラスから最大径1 mm以下,重量0.5 mg以下の微細片を採取し,これに単色化された116 keVの放射光を照射して試料から発生する蛍光X線スペクトルを測定した.これら6種のヘッドライトガラスからは不純物としてZn,As,Sr,Zr,Sb,Ba,Ce及びHfの8元素が検出された.これらの元素に由来する特性X線強度は異なる試料間で著しい差異を示したため,分析結果の比較はヘッドライトガラスの異同識別に極めて有効であった.放射光蛍光X線分析に用いたものと同一のヘッドライトから採取した約10 mgのガラス片をICP-MSで分析し,得られた結果を比較した.単位重量当たりの特性X線強度はICP-MSによる分析値と良好な相関を示し,異同識別の尺度として有効であることが明らかにされた.本法により従来のICP-MSによる方法の20分の1以下の試料で非破壊での異同識別が可能となった.
