This study aimed to use artificial intelligence (AI) predict the pathological diagnosis of ovarian tumors using patient information and data from preoperative examinations.A total 202 patients with were enrolled, including 53 cancer, 23 borderline malignant tumors, 126 benign tumors. Using 5 machine learning classifiers, support vector machine, random forest, naive Bayes, logistic regression, XGBoost, we derived diagnostic results 16 features, commonly available blood tests, background,...
Abstract Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal morbidity. Clinical prediction postpartum remains challenging, particularly in case a vaginal birth. We studied machine learning models to predict hemorrhage. Women who underwent birth at Tokyo Medical University East Center between 1995 and 2020 were included. used 11 clinical variables defined as blood loss > 1000 mL. constructed five deep model consisting neural networks with two layers after applying ensemble classifiers,...
Objective Most women with early stage endometrial cancer have a favorable prognosis. However, there is subset of patients who develop recurrence. In addition to the pathological stage, clinical and therapeutic factors affect probability Machine learning subtype artificial intelligence that considered effective for predictive tasks. We tried predict recurrence in using machine methods based on data. Methods enrolled 75 (International Federation Gynecology Obstetrics I or II) had received...
Abstract Placenta previa causes life-threatening bleeding and accurate prediction of severe hemorrhage leads to risk stratification optimum allocation interventions. We aimed use a multimodal deep learning model predict hemorrhage. Using MRI T2-weighted image the placenta tabular data consisting patient demographics preoperative blood examination data, was constructed cases intraoperative loss > 2000 ml. evaluated performance by comparing it with that two machine methods using only...
Malignant transformation of mature cystic teratoma (MCT) is rare. Unlike squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in MCT, the other types neoplasm MCT have not been discussed publications. We analyzed clinical characteristics and prognosis (non-SCC) compared with those SCC.A systematic literature search published from 2000 to 2017 was conducted PubMed, Web Science, Scopus. reviewed case series that included all pathological malignant transformation.A total 155 cases 15 series, including our cases, were...
Objective: Accurate prediction could lead to risk stratification of patients and can be used as a decision-making tool for adjuvant chemotherapy. This study aimed predict the prognosis ovarian cancer using machine learning models.
Abstract Backgrounds Robotic surgeries have been used frequently for benign diseases in gynecology. However, the advantage of robotic surgery huge uterus is unclear. Methods We analyzed surgical outcomes 527 patients who underwent hysterectomies diseases, separating uterine sizes into five groups by every 250 g. Results Median operative time was 123 minutes (<250 g), 130 (250‐500 144 (500‐750 180 (750‐1000 and 170 (>1000 g). estimated blood loss 50, 100, 200, 400 mL groups,...
To predict the pathological diagnosis of ovarian tumors using preoperative MRI images, deep learning models.A total 185 patients were enrolled, including 40 with cancers, 25 borderline malignant tumors, and 120 benign tumors. Using sagittal horizontal T2-weighted images (T2WI), we constructed pre-trained convolutional neural networks to diagnoses. The performance model was assessed by precision, recall, F1-score on macro-average 95% confidence interval (95%CI). accuracy area under curve...
Background: Giant ovarian tumors (> 30 kg) are very rare. Resection of giant is challenging. Many severe complications have been reported. Surgical techniques and care improved; however, many problems persist regarding resection tumors. Case: A 37-year-old para 0, gravida female had a 57-kg tumor. laparotomy was performed to excise the There high probability that it borderline tumor, according intraoperative pathology results. Thus, omentectomy, appendectomy, pelvic lymph node biopsy were...
The aim of this study was to compare the outcomes associated with use a novel monopolar scalpel those an ultrasonic for cervical conization intraepithelial neoplasia. We conducted retrospective cross-sectional in patients treated our institute between April 2010 and March 2017. We used either VIO (VIO) or Harmonic (HS) conization. analyzed operative outcomes, postoperative complications, pathological findings 2 devices. In 500 conization, HS were 249 251 patients, respectively. No significant...
To describe hysteroscopic resection of retained products conception (RPOC) after temporal laparoscopic uterine artery ligation for prevention massive bleeding. This retrospective study was based in a community medical care hospital. Eight patients with RPOC underwent RPOC. Before the procedure, we performed Patients' clinical backgrounds, intervals between abortion or delivery and operation, serum human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) level at diagnosis, surgical times, blood loss levels during...
Prolusion: The syndrome of obstructed hemivagina and ipsilateral renal anomaly (OHVIRA) was initially reported in 1922. An accurate diagnosis can typically be made on the basis patient history examination, appropriate imaging, combination with pathological vaginal (or perivaginal) cystic wall. A definitive treatment is vaginoplasty to relieve obstruction. In our case, a minimally invasive transvaginal endoscopic procedure helped as well this condition.

Abstract
Background/Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the learning curve robotic hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy for early-stage endometrial carcinoma. Patients Methods: A retrospective chart review performed on first 81 surgeries by a single surgeon. cases were divided into three groups; 4 subgroups 20 each, 3 27 2 40 each. surgical outcomes in each group analyzed, using operative time, estimated blood loss, number lymph nodes resected. Results: median...
Cancer during pregnancy is rare. However, even pregnancy, there the possibility of recurrence for patients. We present case ovarian cancer regardless primary staging surgery performed in first trimester same pregnancy. The patient was a 29-year-old woman who underwent fertility-sparing at 15 weeks (mucinous adenocarcinoma, FIGO stage IC). Omitting adjuvant chemotherapy we continued prenatal checkups outpatient. At 31 gestation, massive ascites emerged and oliguria/anuria developed acutely....
Introduction: Transumbilical single-port access laparoscopic surgery has a lower rate of incisional morbidity and favorable cosmetic outcome. However, the procedure is sometimes difficult to perform because collision between forceps scope. Therefore, we have used pre-bent 5 mm-diameter long scope since April 2012. This study aims evaluate feasibility efficacy revised surgery. Methods: We evaluated 29 cases transumbilical total hysterectomy (SPA-TLH) using straight or forceps. Results: The...
