Palladium and palladium-gold containing siliceous-MCM-41 sol–gel palladium silica composites have been prepared. The catalytic performance of incorporated Pd/MCM-41, Au-Pd/MCM-41 Pd Au-Pd/SiO2 catalysts for the Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling reaction was determined influence matrix catalyst composition on activity were also studied. characterized by N2 physisorption (BET/BJH methods), X-ray diffraction, temperature programmed reduction analysis, H2 chemisorption, atomic absorption...
A chloride-free Pd(OAc)2/Cu(OAc)2 system catalyzes the oxidation of organic substrates by molecular oxygen in nonacidic methanol solutions. Terminal olefins, i.e., 1-hexene, 1-octene, styrene, and 2-vinylnaphthalene, give corresponding methyl ketones without a significant double-bond isomerization long-chain substrates. The catalyst also promotes an unusual allylic sterically encumbered trisubstituted internal double bonds acyclic polyenes able to form η2−η2-chelates with palladium. Linalool...
Linalool, a monoterpenic allylic alcohol, has been efficiently and selectively oxidized by dioxygen in methanol ethanol solutions using chloride-free Pd(OAc)2/Cu(OAc)2 catalytic system under nonacidic conditions. Corresponding ether arising from the exclusive oxidation of trisubstituted internal double bond characterized as major product each alcohol. In methanol, this product, 7-methoxyhotrienol, was obtained virtually quantitative yield. It is remarkable that monosubstituted terminal...
This study describes the application of Art Scientific and Technological Search to strategically analyze areas technological industrial development.Application scientific search strategies such as creation Patent Landscape has been shown be useful for writing research projects, earning grants, publishing papers, drafting patent applications, analyzing market economic potentials a previous determined subject. The regards simplified analysis technologies concerning ionic liquids patents applied...
This work describes a methodology to carry out the analysis of technological sectors, using information contained in patent documents. The use this by professors and students chemistry courses related areas is still little used. The consequence repetition efforts obtain some results research development. The big data construction scenarios, several variables, even rarer Brazil explored world. This presents patentometry theoretical context its practical application, taking as an example area rare...
PROTECTION IN UNIVERSITIES.Brazilian universities and research institutions still fail to protect the knowledge technology produced by their community of students, staff professors while Intellectual Property (IP) issues along with role patents strategic management in educational remain taboo or misunderstood. The focus this work was demystify these subjects, including IP, requirements, decision patent
BRIC COUNTRIES.Based on Science, Technology & Innovation (ST&I) indicators, Brazil is a competitive and interesting country from the point of view technological foreign investment. However, it still incipient with regard to national investments, production knowledge, inbound mobility scientists technology transfer productive sector.Among many other factors, global patent considered as an important indicator innovation.Likewise, balance between revenue expenses obtained through royalties...
THE "SMELL" INDUSTRY.Several flavors and fragrances (F&F) companies hold the economic leadership in market, although not always have also patent applications. The ranking of technological production fragrance area still remains with industries while scientific knowledge is equally shared between academia.Contextualizing Brazil this scene, despite all expertise gained over years, brazilian park at beginning technologies applied directly to F&F industries. The dependence on foreign remarkable as...
This work reports the functionalization of monoterpenoids with 2-iodo-1-methyl-1H-imidazole using Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions. Natural monoterpenes were also modified to obtain corresponding alkynes which used in cross-coupling step. After a sequence cross-coupling–hydrogenation–N-alkylation–ion metathesis, novel ionic liquids obtained reasonable yields. The products can be as scaffolds for further synthesis new derived from terpenoids and new, potentially bioactive...
Background: Microorganisms can migrate from the external environment to patient’s organism through insertion of catheters. Despite being indispensable medical device, catheter surface be colonized by microorganisms and become a starting point for biofilm formation. Therefore, new technologies are developed in order modify surfaces prevent adhesion survival microorganisms. Patents with use DMPEI have been filed. Objective: In present work, we coated latex 2 mg mL-1 different solvents,...
TECHNOLOGY SCALE UP: PROCESS DEVELOPMENT FROM THE LABORATORY TO PILOT CONNECTED MARKET (PART 1). In this article, it is described the main aspects to be considered during process of scaling up hard sciences technologies developed in Science and Technology Institutes aiming at industrial application. Based on experience our group up, pre-acceleration, acceleration different technologies, a methodology was divided into four stages: Step 1, which involves basic research, 2 with focus product...
