Gradually progressive sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) is a prevalent sensory defect. It generally untreatable, making rehabilitation by aid or cochlear implantation the only option. However, SNHL as one of symptoms hereditary autoinflammatory systemic disease cryopyrin-associated periodic syndrome, symptom cochlea-specific form (DFNA34), was suggested to respond IL-1 antagonist (anakinra) therapy, which ameliorates NLRP3 variants-induced over-secretion IL-1β. We analysed genotypic and...
To analyze the clinical characteristics of cochlear fistulas (CFs) and propose a new fistula classification system with regard to cochlea.A retrospective chart review was conducted between January 2008 December 2015 identify patients who had undergone surgery for cholesteatoma an associated CF. The following data were collected: preoperative symptoms, findings temporal bone computed tomography (TBCT), stage, classification, surgical technique, pre- postoperative pure-tone audiometry.We...
Bilateral microphones with contralateral routing of signal (BiCROS) hearing aid is an option for rehabilitation in individuals asymmetric sensorineural loss (ASNHL). The clinical factors influencing the trial and purchase BiCROS were investigated. We reviewed medical records 78 patients ASNHL who recommended to use analyzed demographic audiological BiCROS.Among patients, 52 (66.7%) availed free 21 (26.9%) purchased BiCROS. mean pure tone audiometry (PTA) air conduction (AC) threshold better-...
Objectives. Sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC) often invades the orbit. The treatment approach for sinonasal cancer that has spread to orbit varies across medical centers and depends on extent of invasion. decision preserve in strategy is made a case-by-case basis results varying outcomes. Currently, multimodal regimen, which may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy (RT), or concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT), commonly adopted managing cancers. This study aims assess prognosis...

Venous malformation with phleboliths is uncommon cause of unilateral parotid swelling. The clinical and radio-graphic appearance venous may masquerade as sialolithiasis. A 49-year-old female complained about swelling for 6 years. Preoperative evaluation including computed tomography sonography showed the suspicion phleboliths. Superficial parotidectomy was performed.
