Abstract With the rapid development of power conversion efficiency (PCE), flexibility–stability organic solar cells (OSCs) are becoming one primary barriers for commercialization. This work shows that insulating poly(aryl ether) (PAE) resins have highly twisted‐stiff backbones without any side chains, which possess excellent mechanical stability, thermal and good compatibility with photovoltaic materials. After introducing 5 wt% PAE resin as supporting matrices into bulk heterojunction (BHJ)...

Control of the preferred vertical phase distribution components in photoactive layer is vital importance to improve device performance and stability organic photovoltaics (OPVs). Herein, a universal sequential-deposition strategy demonstrated realize optimal by employing orthogonal solvents synergistically integrating ternary/quaternary compositions consisting insulating heat-resistant poly(aryl ether)s as third/fourth component layer. The selective segregation middle active enhances...

Five porous ether-linked phthalazinone-based covalent triazine frameworks (PHCTFs) were successfully constructed via ionothermal polymerizations from flexible dicyano monomers containing asymmetric, twisted, and N-heterocyclic phthalazinone structure. All the building blocks could be easily prepared by simple low-cost aromatic nucleophilic substitution reactions, showing large-scale application potential of thermal stable structure in constructing materials. Generally, are avoided to prevent...

The overall performance of carbon-based materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) is still restricted by the sluggish transfer kinetics Na+ and limited rate capability. Specifically, introducing ultramicropores (pores width <0.7 nm) into carbon may be effective in improving anode SIBs. However, due to difficulty their synthesis homogeneity regulation, ultramicroporous as advanced SIB anodes well sodium storage mechanisms have seldom been investigated. Herein, spheres with centralized...

Current synthetic epoxy thermosets exhibit a trade-off between stiffness and toughness. Despite the urgent demands for highly stiff tough thermosetting resins, existing technologies have struggled to attain resins that satisfy this balance. To circumvent inherent trade-off, new strategy obtain double load-sharing thermoset network via hierarchical curing process without adding any other filler is proposed. In resin bearing acetyl ester side groups cured by an aromatic amine, "in situ"...

We developed a series of single atom catalysts (SACs) anchored on bipyridine-rich COFs. By tuning the active metal center, optimal Py-Bpy-COF-Zn shows highest selectivity 99.1% and excellent stability toward H2O2 production via oxygen reduction, which can be attributed to high *OOH dissociation barrier indicated by theoretical calculations. As proof concept, it acts as cathodic catalyst in homemade Zn-air battery, together with efficient wastewater treatment.

Tunneling effects are one of the most basic theories that have long been overlooked in bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) layers organic solar cells (OSCs). Herein, by fabricating BHJ and layer-by-layer (LbL) devices with five different poly(aryl ether)s (PAEs), we reveal a tunneling effect active layer OSCs. The results show as-cast 5 wt % even 30 PAE PM6:Y6-blends achieve high power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) over 15%. Furthermore, PAE-based proper post-treatment deliver PCE 17.03%. By...
