BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:
Arg179His mutations in ACTA2 are associated with a distinctive neurovascular phenotype characterized by straight course of intracranial arteries, absent basal Moyamoya collaterals, dilation the proximal internal carotid and occlusive disease terminal arteries. We now add to neuroimaging features these patients describing their unique constellation brain malformative findings that could flag diagnosis cases which targeted cerebrovascular imaging...
Vaccine‐induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) is a rare prothrombotic syndrome associated with an adenoviral vector‐based vaccine ChAdOx1 CoV‐19 (AstraZeneca, University of Oxford) or Ad26.COV2.S (Janssen; Johnson & Johnson). VITT characterized by thrombosis, often at unusual sites, particularly cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) thrombocytopenia, low fibrinogen, and significantly raised D‐dimer level.1.Scully M.
