Fusarium head blight (FHB), caused by graminearum, is a predominant disease of wheat. Due to the lack disease-resistant germplasm, chemical control an important means wheat scab. Volatile substances produced in near-isogenic lines were detected after inoculation with F. and 4-propylphenol, which appears FHB-resistant lines, was identified. In vitro vivo antifungal activity tests demonstrate that 4-propylphenol effectively inhibits mycelial growth graminearum. Metabolomics analysis showed...
In the present paper, we report on controllable preparation of single-crystalline Fe3O4 microrhombic dodecahedra possessing active basal facets in high yield through a facile hydrothermal route. The growth mechanism microcrystals is discussed. From crystallographic point view, shapes crystals are determined by ratio rate along <100> to <111> directions. pH values precursor solution strongly affected morphologies products. When value was adjusted 8–10, well-defined truncated exposing surfaces...
Experimental measurements of the heterogeneous nucleation rate rely on counting number nuclei with time. However, size a thermodynamically stable nucleus is often few nanometers in diameter and below resolution most (in situ) measurement techniques that provide statistically valid sample. Due to finite instruments analysis methods, it challenging capture incipient subsequent evolution density over In this work, we demonstrate impact instrument observed densities by comparing numerical...
Summary Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is commonly used in fracturing. Given that the interaction between and rock affects multiphase flow behaviors, it important to thoroughly understand relevant phenomena. The Darcy-Brinkman-Stokes (DBS) method most effective describing matrix-fracture system among proposed models. This study aims analyze impact of acid-rock on behavior by developing a pore-scale numerical model applying DBS method. new developed based OpenFOAM, an open-source platform for...
Summary Carbon dioxide (CO2) storage and sequestration is regarded as an effective approach to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. While injecting enormous amount of CO2 into carbonate-rich aquifers, dissolves in the formation brine under large pressure subsequently formed CO2-enriched reacts with calcite. Reaction-induced changes pore structure fracture geometry alter porosity permeability, giving rise concerns capacity security. Especially reservoir or aquifer natural fractures, fractures...
With the increasing usage of nuclear energy, how to properly dispose waste becomes a critical issue. In this study, multiscale modeling approach combining experimental findings is presented address illitization process, its impact on transport properties, and system behavior bentonite buffer in engineered barrier systems (EBS). Through pore-scale modeling, reactive properties such as illite generation rate effective diffusion coefficient potassium ion function porosity temperature are...
Hollow ZnSe microspheres were successfully synthesized by a simple chemistry vapor deposition method in horizontal tube furnace. The as-obtained samples characterized X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission and energy-dispersive spectrometry. growth mechanism of the was discussed detail, which can be addressed as SO 2 gas trap, expand, burst during process. morphology evolutions observed. size, open mouth, surface state, hollow could adjusted through...
In this paper, multilayer superstructures of single-crystalline ZnTe nanowire films have been prepared through a new growth process: well-aligned nanowires congregate into film. The process takes place discontinuously and consequently produces many layers aligned superstructures. These interesting findings are apparently different from the conventional vapor−liquid− solid (VLS) but following multiple nucleation model. intriguing mode may enrich our understanding mechanism nanowires....
It has been reported that ∼60% of total U.S. hydrocarbon production comes from shale reservoirs. Understanding reactive transport is fundamental importance to the application in subsurface systems natural shales have rich compositions carbonate, clay, and sulfide, which high reactivity with water. In this study, we focus on interaction between pyrite (sulfide) hydraulic fracturing fluid investigate potential impact iron precipitation transport. We first conducted experiments samples...
Hexagonal prisms with pyramid end of cubic ZnSe microstructures are successfully fabricated by a simple chemical vapour deposition method. The obtained pyramids grow along the <111> crystal axis and possess sharp tips. Two kinds structures can be through controlling experimental conditions. growth mechanism product is proposed. structure conditions may lead to hexagonal prism end. A stable blue emission 465 nm at room temperature observed in this novel pyramid-shaped material ascribed band phase.
