Patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) have a high prevalence of mental disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Gut microbiota imbalance disturbed metabolism been suggested to play an important role in either UC or disorders. However, little is known about their detailed multi-omics characteristics patients depression/anxiety. In this prospective observational study, 240 Chinese were enrolled, including 129 active (69 Phase 1 60 2; divided into depression/non-depression anxiety/non-anxiety...

Psychological disorders are associated with increased risk of severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by causing gut microbiota dysbiosis and colonic mucosal barrier damage. However, the interaction between chronic restraint stress (CRS), composition, mucus remains unclear. We demonstrated that mice under CRS conditions exhibited alterations in disruption mucus, aggravation colitis. In addition, abundance Akkermansia muciniphila was significantly decreased UC patients depression, positively...

Alzheimer's disease (AD), an age-associated neurodegenerative disorder, currently lacks effective clinical therapeutics. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) holds promising potential in AD treatment, exemplified by Danggui Shaoyao San (DSS), a TCM formulation. The precise therapeutic mechanisms of DSS remain to be fully elucidated. This study aims uncover the efficacy and underlying AD, employing integrative approach encompassing gut microbiota metabolomic analyses.

Colorectal cancer pathogenesis remains incompletely understood. Here, we report that the heterochromatin protein HP1γ is upregulated commonly in human colorectal cancer, where it promotes cell proliferation vitro and vivo. Gene-expression promoter-binding experiments demonstrated directly regulated CDKN1A (p21(Waf1/Cip1)) a manner associated with methylation of histone H3K9 on its promoter. We identified miR-30a as tumor-suppressive microRNA targets vivo to specifically suppress growth mouse...

An MTT assay, DAPI staining, flow cytometry, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, transmission electron microscopy TUNEL assay were performed to molecular effects ART was observed inhibit proliferation by inducing apoptosis cells both vivo. Flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that treatment with 2 4 µg/ml for 48 h induced early 22.7...
