Purpose. We describe in detail a relatively simple technique of fundus photography human and rabbit eyes using smartphone, an inexpensive app for the instruments that are readily available ophthalmic practice. Methods. Fundus images were captured with smartphone 20D lens or without Koeppe lens. By coaxial light source phone, this system works as indirect ophthalmoscope creates digital image fundus. The application whose software allows independent control focus, exposure, intensity during...

Proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) is a nonneovascular blinding disease and the leading cause for failure in surgical repair of rhegmatogenous retinal detachments. Once formed, PVR difficult to treat. Hence, there an acute interest developing approaches prevent PVR. Of many growth factors cytokines that accumulate vitreous as develops, neutralizing vascular endothelial factor (VEGF) A has recently been found at least one animal model. The goal this study was test if Food Drug...

This manuscript reports a rare association of the development acute macular neuroretinopathy (AMN) after administration an influenza vaccination. A 42-year-old white female presented with 2-week history black spots and paracentral scotoma in right eye receiving seasonal Findings on multimodal imaging were classic for AMN, these findings improved but did not fully resolve 4 weeks initial presentation observation alone. Although febrile illness or use oral contraceptives is most commonly...

Background
Neodymium–yttrium-aluminium-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser vitreolysis has been proposed as a treatment modality for symptomatic vitreous floaters. The purpose of this paper is to report two cases cataracts associated with posterior capsular compromise, induced by Nd:YAG
Method
Case series.
Results
Two patients who underwent ND:YAG floaters, presented decline in visual acuity the treated eye after procedure. At slit-lamp biomicroscope, each patient was found have...

Platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) and their receptors (PDGFRs) make profound contributions to both physiology pathology. While it is widely believed that direct (PDGF-mediated) activation the primary mode of activating PDGFRs, discovery they can also be activated indirectly begs question relevance indirect PDGFRs. In context a blinding eye disease, PDGFRα results in persistent signaling, which suppresses level p53 thereby promotes viability cells drive pathogenesis. Under same...

Abstract Purpose: We evaluated the clinical outcomes of Intraocular inflammation (IOI) eyes with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) injected brolucizumab in our tertiary referral center. Methods: A retrospective case series for which records all that received intravitreal at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute between December 1, 2019, and April 2021 were reviewed. Results: There 345 278 patients who 801 injections. IOI was detected 16 13 (4.6%). In those patients, baseline logMAR...
