Abstract Hybrid procedure of hypoplastic left heart syndrome, comprising ductus arteriosus stenting and bilateral pulmonary artery banding, is a good surgical option for initial palliative high-risk patients Norwood procedure. However, ductal may cause retrograde aortic blood flow obstruction. Furthermore, complete removal stent while performing the make operation more difficult. We report case that overcame these problems using novel technique.
Surgical repair of partial anomalous pulmonary venous return (PAPVR) to the superior vena cava (SVC) using Warden procedure has favorable outcomes. However, there remain some concerns after procedure, such as sinoatrial nodal dysfunction and systemic or stenosis. We investigated outcomes for PAPVR SVC.This retrospective study included 22 consecutive patients who underwent between 2002 2018. The median age body weight at operation were 27.5 months (interquartile range [IQR], 5.0-56.8 months)...
We evaluated the association between tricuspid annular dilatation and development of moderate or severe regurgitation (TR). Additionally, we determined optimal threshold to use as an indicator for annuloplasty in patients with less-than-moderate functional TR (FTR).Between August 2007 December 2014, 227 underwent mitral valve surgery without a (TV) procedure. The TV diameter was measured via transthoracic echocardiography. index (TVAI) calculated divided by body surface area. mean duration...
