Battery health estimation is fundamental to ensure battery safety and reduce cost. However, achieving accurate has been challenging due the batteries' complex nonlinear aging patterns capacity regeneration phenomena. In this paper, we propose OSL, an optimal signal decomposition-based multi-stage machine learning for estimation. OSL treats signals optimally. It uses optimized variational mode decomposition extract decomposed capturing different frequency bands of original signals. also...

Recurrent craniopharyngiomas represent a complex neurosurgical challenge. These histologically benign lesions show aggressive behavior that frequently recurs. The aim in treatment is to achieve an optimal balance between local control and quality of life. However, no agreement on the management recurrent cases exists. Different surgical strategies are utilized for these using transcranial or endoscopic approaches. authors present case 38-year-old man with large craniopharyngioma, previously...

We present and demonstrate a particle filtering approach to data fusion situation assessment for military operations in urban environments. Our views such an environment as physical system whose state vector is composed of large number both discrete continuous variables representing properties tracked entities. Inference on vector-based models exploits causal dependencies among the via its dynamic Bayesian belief network representation decomposition into weakly interacting subcomponents. To...

Drug-induced or acquired long QT syndrome occurs as a result of the unintended disruption cardiac repolarization due to drugs that block ion channels. These side effects have been responsible for withdrawal range from market and are common reason termination development new in preclinical stage. Existing approaches risk prediction expensive overly sensitive meaning recently there renewed efforts, largely driven by comprehensive proarrhythmic assay initiative, develop more accurate methods...

This letter reports a new method using boron plasma doping and nanosecond laser annealing for further improvement of contact engineering. Up to 8% device performance is demonstrated by this technique in conventional FinFET architecture. The key value relies on the fin vertical sidewalls super-activation dopants, without any volume consumption between epitaxial source drain. Furthermore, TCAD simulation result points out that combining with wrap-around structure can double boost transistor...

[1] In Chen et al. (2013), the fundamental concepts of modular UQ methodology have been introduced for general multiphysics applications in which each physics module can be independently embedded with its internal method (intrusive or nonintrusive) without losing global uncertainty propagation property. current paper, we extend to subsurface flow and reactive transport applications, are characterized by high dimensionality stochastic space due spatially random velocity field randomly...

3D MOSFET technology, such as FinFETs, is the central semiconductor inflection that brings new challenges and opportunities to industry. Dynamic surface annealing (DSA) enables IC manufactures solve many of challenges. In this paper, we demonstrate DSA can form abrupt source/drain extension, which essential minimize device's parasitic resistance. also improves salicide morphology, piping defects, reduce junction leakage.
