The impacts of different doses the plant growth regulator gibberellic acid (GA3) in diet on number total and differential hemocytes, frequency apoptotic, necrotic mitotic indices, encapsulation, melanization responses were investigated using greater wax moth Galleria mellonella L. (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) larvae. Total hemocyte counts increased G. larvae at all treatment whereas GA3 application had no effect types. occurrence apoptosis, necrosis indices treated untreated last instars...

Abstract The impacts of the plant growth regulator, gibberellic acid (GA3) were investigated on hemolymph free amino acids (FAAs) Galleria mellonella L. (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) larvae and its endoparasitoid Pimpla turionellae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) reared host treated with different doses (50–5,000 ppm) GA3 in diet. High-performance liquid chromatographic analysis revealed that out 20 detected, 18 FAAs found untreated larvae, whereas 19 present parasitoid. total pool after treatment...

We investigate the theoretical calculations of voltage tunable dual-band quantum-well infrared photodetector (QWIP) in long and very wavelength range (LWIR VLWIR). The detector consists two serially connected GaAs/AlGaAs stacks which have spectral responses 8.4- 14- μm wavelengths, respectively. peak responsivity shifts from 8.4 to 14 as bias is increased.

In this study, we present the theoretical investigation of type-II InAs/GaSb superlattice p-i-n detector. Kronig-Penney and envelope function approximation is used to calculate band gap energy minibands. Variational method also exciton binding energies. Our results show that carriers overlap increases at GaSb/InAs interface on higher side while it decreases lower with increasing reverse bias due shifting hole wavefunction toward decisively. Binding energies increase electric field overall...

We report on the optical properties of InAs/AlSb/GaSb based Type-II superlattice N-structure with p n configuration. The detector structure is designed to operate in mid wavelength infrared range 50% cut-off 4.88 μm at 79 K. Electronic such as heavy hole–light hole splitting energies are optimized by a first principles approach taking into account InAlAs interface bonding between InAs/AlSb layers. A responsivity 1.13 A/W 3.2 was measured under zero bias, corresponding quantum efficiency 44%....
