A protocol for the ultrasound-assisted synthesis of new biologically active betulin–bisphosphonate conjugates in friendly reaction conditions was reported.
Over the past 30 years, many strategies have been developed to immobilize well-defined metathesis catalysts on solid supports. The use of heterogeneous catalysis resulted in increased purity product and possibility recycling catalyst. This review presents short history used numerous types olefin with particular emphasis examples from recent years. main focus was put immobilized ruthenium alkylidene complexes based ionic liquids, as a new promising approach, which includes noncovalent...
A clear trend of replacing synthetic cosmetic ingredients with natural ones can be observed in modern cosmetology. This entails the need to search for bioactive environment, especially plants. paper presents a comprehensive overview dermatological, cosmetic, and pharmacological properties highly potent plants, namely Acmella oleracea (A. oleracea), Centella asiatica (C. asiatica), Psoralea corylifolia (P. corylifolia), Plantago lanceolata L. L.), Solidago virgaurea (S. L.). Biological...
Raw vegetable oil from Crambe abyssinica was subjected to oxidative treatment enhance its viscosity. The oxidation processes were carried out in the presence of N-hydroxyphthalimide with or without supercritical CO2 as a solvent. Four spectroscopic techniques (Raman, UV-VIS, FT-IR, NMR) applied assess chemical changes taking place during oxidation. Raman and NMR spectroscopy proved best assessment transformations leading increased viscosity modified oil.
For several decades, natural products have been widely researched and their native scaffolds are the basis for design synthesis of new potential therapeutic agents. Betulin is an interesting biologically attractive parent molecule with a high safety profile can easily undergo variety structural modifications. Herein, we describe molecular hybrids betulin via covalent linkage alkyltriphenylphosphonium moiety. The proposed strategy enables preparation semi-synthetic derivatives (28-TPP⊕...
A variety of N-(1-methoxyalkyl)amides or carbamates react readily with sodium aryl sulfinates in the presence triphenylphosphonium tetrafluoroborate bromide CHCl3 under mild conditions to give 1-(N-acylamino)alkyl sulfones good yields. combination this reaction recently described electrochemical decarboxylative α-methoxylation N-acyl-α-amino acids 3-(1-piperidino)propyl-functionalized silica gel (SiO2-Pip) enables an effective two-pot transformation sulfones. Alternatively, can be obtained...
Pentacyclic lupane-type triterpenoids, such as betulin and its synthetic derivatives, display a broad spectrum of biological activity. However, one the major drawbacks these compounds potential therapeutic agents is their high hydrophobicity low bioavailability. On other hand, presence easily transformable functional groups in parent structure makes have ability to form different derivatives. In this context, research on synthesis new derivatives conjugates naturally occurring triterpenoid...
Acmella oleracea is an ethnobotanically significant plant with a relatiwely high content of spilanthol. Due to its broad spectrum activity, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, antifungal, and bacteriostatic properties, it considered valuable bioactive natural product. In addition, spilanthol as main component inhibits facial muscle contractions, making attractive ingredient in anti-wrinkle anti-aging cosmetics. paralyzing effects, called herbal botox. The commercial interest...
A novel method for chemo-enzymatic Baeyer–Villiger oxidation of cyclic ketones in the presence supported ionic liquid-like phase biocatalyst was designed. In this work, multi-walled carbon nanotubes were applied as a support liquids which anchored to covalently by amide or imine bonds. Next, lipases B from Candida antarctica, rugosa, Aspergillus oryzae immobilized on prepared materials. The biocatalysts characterized using various techniques, like thermogravimetry, IR spectroscopy, XPS,...
α-Amino acid derivatives with a C α -P bond have been used for wide range of chemical transformations, including synthesis many kinds bioactive compounds, e.g.nonproteinogenic α-amino acids, α,β-dehydro-α-amino dehydropeptides, β-lactam antibiotics and glycopeptides. The present review is focused on methods the title their properties application in organic synthesis.
A convenient approach has been developed to α-aminoalkylidenebisphosphonates and their asymmetric phosphonyl-phosphinyl phosphonyl-phosphinoyl analogues by α-phosphonylation, α-phosphinylation or α-phosphinoylation of 1-( N -acylamino)alkylphosphonates, that, in turn, are easily accessible from -acyl-α-amino acids. Effective electrophilic activation the α-position -acetylamino)alkylphosphonates was achieved electrochemical α-methoxylation these compounds methanol, mediated with NaCl,...
The oxidation of ethylbenzene using dioxygen was carried out applying a new catalytic system—heterogeneous N-hydroxyphthalimide (PS-NHPI) coated with an ionic liquid containing CoCl2. system represents combination solid catalyst layer (SCILL) and supported phase (SILP) techniques, wherein the resulting utilizes CoCl2 dissolved in 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium octyl sulphate ([emim)][OcOSO3]) that is layered onto support. PS-NHPI obtained by immobilizing on chloromethyl polystyrene resins ester...
4-Phosphoranylidene-5(4H)-oxazolones 1 undergo hydrolysis in THF the presence of HBF 4 at room temperature to give N-acyl-α -triphenyphosphonioglycines 3 (R 2 = H) very good yields. 4-Alkyl-4-triphenylphosphonio-5(4H)-oxazolones react with water CH Cl /THF solution without any acidic catalyst 0–5°C a few days yielding -triphenylphosphonio-α -amino acids Me) or α -(N-acylamino)alkyltriphenylphosphonium salts alkyl, other then Me). -Triphenylphosphonio-α upon heating 105–115°C under reduced...
The diagnostic values of the following three spectral criteria for configuration N-acyl-alpha,beta-dehydro-alpha-amino acid esters were examined: (i) proton at beta-position double bond a Z-isomer is shielded if compared with respective E-isomer (delta(beta)Z < delta(beta)E); (ii) nitrogen atom in comparison corresponding (delta(NH)Z delta(NH)E); and (iii) changing solvent from CDCl3 to deuterated trifluoroacetic (TFA) causes shielding H(beta) vinylic an or deshielding (delta(CDCl3)E >...
